Red states and private/Catholic schools. Around here, there are countless private and Catholic schools that are straight up against Woke doctrine (and don't care much for the Pope.) Public schools are forced to compete and ran away from it as a result.
Maybe some little town in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska only accessible by boat where only 100 people live and they all work at the same cannery canning salmon?
At least I hope so; that's kinda my current escape plan. Or a couple hundred acres in Alaska bush country only accessible by aircraft.
I spent a couple weeks there last year and got that sense. Excluding places like Anchorage and Juneau of course; Anchorage surprised me at how normal it was.
The guy bagging groceries at the safeway had a hook hand. I assumed some old fisherman who lost a hand. I understand your difficulty in pinpointing exactly how it's different, but it definitely was.
Literally the Midwest countryside. Even a blue state like Illinois is mostly red in area. Though I’m sure you can find similar spots in states that aren’t as screwed up.
Anywhere but Illinois. The state may be mostly red, but the economy is in the shitter and the entire state is run by Blue cronies from the Chicagoland area. They're gearing up to completely fuck the middle class if the "fair tax" amendment gets passed. Anyone with any money and sense who could get the hell out of here by now already has, and if I could afford to move out of this shit-hole state, I damn well would.
Believe me, I'm seeing ads for that "Fair Tax" shit all the time. Higher taxes on "the rich" will never change jack shit, until "charitable tax writeoffs" (read: money laundering) are entirely done away with.
I have such a love hate relationship with Illinois. Mid/down-staters are the best people I've ever met. Chicago is still my favorite city on Earth. I worked for the legislature for years and learned to a depressing level just how fucked the state is. Democrats are so good at being evil Emperor Palpatine would learn a few things. Republicans are so ineffectual they're almost controlled opposition. Madigan is a goddamn vampire.
I left. I'm happier for it. But I get through IL a couple times a year. I miss being accepted by an entire culture of raging alcoholics.
As a current central-stater (I'm right about at the midline where things start turning into the southern part and people start to get that drawl in their speech), I have to agree. The people around here are generally helpful and have a decent head on their shoulders, although there are pockets of wokeness here and there that make one scratch their head. I also have to agree that watching the Republican reps from around here try to do anything is comparable to a simian attempting to fornicate with sports equipment. If we could ever get Emperor Madigan out of his seat, we might actually be able to do something with the state, but at this point his ass is going to die in that chair before he ever retires.
Pick a Midwest state that's fully red and head for a suburban or smaller-but-decent urban area you can find there. Anywhere that's major urban is likely being slowly infected by the virus, so you'll want to avoid that like the plague.
And stay the hell away from anywhere in Illinois. The place is an economic shit-hole and despite downstate being covered in Red, the Blue that is Chicago is in control of the whole place.
As someone else in tech, save as much money as you can as quickly as you can. Build yourself a golden parachute and be prepared to pull the ripcord. Then do whatever it is you want to do without needing to worry about whether or not you'll be able to put food on the table.
Well, it comes from the cities mostly. I have found that even in California you don’t have to go far into the countryside to find people rolling their eyes at this bullshit. You’ll hear about it on the news of course.
The problem is you're still subject to the whims of the state government, who will treat your small town in the countryside as though it's the same as SF. My state has this same problem: all my neighbors are generally sane, but we're all still under the thumb of our insane governor and legislature.
They've been ruining multiple generations of youth through school indoctrination that has been unchecked for decades.
Destroying the family unit, corrupting religion, keeping Americans poor by taking away jobs, higher taxes and inflation gives no time for parents to raise kids properly and make it easier for them to be trained by commie professors, Hollywood and the liberal hate mob.
Humans aren't inherently born wise. Kids are gullible and dumb as fuck due to not having any experience with the world. If left to be programmed by liberals, they can be raised to be even dumber.
New Hampshire my friend. It's one of the least "diverse" states, and no-one cares who you are out there, so long as you aren't making any trouble, will leave you well alone. It has the highest uptake in crypt-curency in the country, you can do everything from pay your bills to doing your shopping in it in certain places, cutting you off from moth methods of control via payment providers. You can even get a cabin out in the sticks and stay away from everyone if that's your goal.
Everybody is pro 2A, inclusing most democrat candidates for office. Speaking of which, it's one of the least partisan states out there, with the electorate split fairly cleanly down the middle, and an increasing chunk of the populace not wanting anything to do with either of the big parties, so not only is there no identity politics to worry about, there's also none of the classic right-wing morality-policing to worry about either. Also, low taxes.
Any rural non-blue areas basically is where you typically won't find it. That being said, NoEyesNoGroin has a point that nothings is incapable of Leftist subversion. Literally any concentration of power is corruptible by the Left. Institutions need to be effectively anti-Leftist.
Think about it this way: the "crazy Mormons" keeping you from moving there are also keeping the leftists from moving there. There is value in moving to places which gatekeep their (incompatible with leftist) cultures.
Rural Arizona. The people are by and large polite, don't get riled up easily and tend not to give a darn who you are or what you do as long as you're not an azhole. Mr. Sulu and his husband had a home in rural northern Arizona for years and seemed ok.
This is, truly, the only place I'd advertise this regularly. Come to Knoxville Tennessee. Or find a rural suburb around Knox. Red, red as far as you can see. And white. Even the black people here are white - with apologies to our black brethren. You know what I mean. Even the Democrats are Republicans. This is the holy land.
Reasonably large Hispanic population, mostly illegal, and you might just have to accept it. They built most of the area, and did the best, fastest, cheapest roofing job I've ever seen. I know immigration is one of the hot button issues on KIA but dammit I admire Mexican laborers. Anyone who works like a goddamned animal to feed their families embodies the American spirit more than the rest of us who sell insurance and fap to Sonic inflation porn on DeviantArt.
No. It spreads via academia so unless all you ever want to do is have a ranch in the middle of nowhere, there is no running from it.
Ranch in the middle of nowhere honestly sounds pretty good.
We need to burn down the Ivy League. Day of the Goat when?
Red counties in solid red states. The further from a city the better.
Red states and private/Catholic schools. Around here, there are countless private and Catholic schools that are straight up against Woke doctrine (and don't care much for the Pope.) Public schools are forced to compete and ran away from it as a result.
Always double check the Catholic angle. Some will be regular with no SJW bullshit while others will be in the process of drinking the koolaid.
Be suspicious of anything Jesuit and you'll be off to a good start. They got in bed with Marx a long time ago. The Cuck Pope has Jesuit roots.
I've got about a decade until I can retire...this is a question on my mind even now.
That sounds strangely appealing.
Everyone in Alaska is.... different. I mean there's Ohio different but Alaska different is special.
May I compliment you on your name? My eyesight isn't what it used to be but I think I qualify for at least four of those letters. Perhaps five.
Literally the Midwest countryside. Even a blue state like Illinois is mostly red in area. Though I’m sure you can find similar spots in states that aren’t as screwed up.

Speaking as someone in tech, I've been asking the same thing.
I like tech, but it's not worth it - if I had known how much of a minefield it would become I wouldn't have gone down that road.
As someone else in tech, save as much money as you can as quickly as you can. Build yourself a golden parachute and be prepared to pull the ripcord. Then do whatever it is you want to do without needing to worry about whether or not you'll be able to put food on the table.
Unless you live off the grid, you are gonna suffer the consequences of it.
Even the smallest connection with society will get them on your trail and come demanding compliance.

New Hampshire: Live free, or Die.
Are you an
advertisingpropaganda manager for New Hampshire?Because if so it's, uh, pretty effective.

Utah
Fuck off. I hate Utah with a passion. At least Idaho Mormons are fun. Utah Mormons are materialistic assholes who drive like sociopaths.
Nah dawg, Idaho Falls mormons are way worse than Utah mormons. Agreed on driving in Utah though, none of those fuckers fear death.
Think about it this way: the "crazy Mormons" keeping you from moving there are also keeping the leftists from moving there. There is value in moving to places which gatekeep their (incompatible with leftist) cultures.
Did you not see the riots in Provo? Even the mormons are woke.
