As someone else in tech, save as much money as you can as quickly as you can. Build yourself a golden parachute and be prepared to pull the ripcord. Then do whatever it is you want to do without needing to worry about whether or not you'll be able to put food on the table.
Speaking as someone in tech, I've been asking the same thing.
I like tech, but it's not worth it - if I had known how much of a minefield it would become I wouldn't have gone down that road.
