Mate, sadly State of Decay has always been pozzed. The original main character in the first game was black, but they at least let you switch characters. Also the first game had pretty good gameplay mechanics for its time.
The second game went full pozz, though, as ALL the starting characters are some variation of DEI. There are NO selectable straight white males.
The only two males you can select from at the beginning (I think it's a White and Asian duo? Can't remember the exact makeup, it's been close to a decade) are faggots.
I had zero hope for State of Decay 3... yet somehow they still managed to disappoint.

Glad I didn't want it anyway (opposite game taste than you on zombie games). Honestly I can get past a lot of stuff that I find I notice more and more even in older games. But I'm not wasting time on games those two got paid to work on.

Probably depends on the severity of it. If we are talking post-Covid, I'm probably definitely out anyway. I likely never started. There's things in games in I didn't used to notice. Like I picked up Shadow of War again recently to just finish it and I immediately notice black main story character. I mean I used to think not much of, I don't really know if blackness is possible on Tolkien lore or not, but you almost never see the guy and that was all I noticed.
