Lady Dimittescu is a "one screen, two movies" situation. She apoeals to regular heterosexual men and women because she's the good kind of curvy, she's wearing a sexy dress, and she's extremely seductive in voice and manner. But she also appeals to degenerate mommy fetishists and soys because she's physically huge, dominant masculine, and a cunt. Different demos are attracted to different traits embodied by this one character.
It's actually pretty brilliant design. Of course they fucked it up by having her transform into a generic resident evil monster halfway through the game.
Capcom didn't know what they had with this character. Just making her the boss of the first quarter of the game and then she's gone forever. By the time Capcom wised up it was too late.
So I guess the girlbosses don't be girlbossing in this one? I remember the controversy over remake Jill sassing people up in RE3. I warmed up to her remake face since then, Claire's not so much.
The main female character is the “survival” horror part of the game, she’s not strong, is scared constantly but perseveres and is likable nerdy, not girlbossy. You also play as Leon mass slaughtering zombies on the flip side.
Men don't enjoy sass. At all. Ever. They only tolerate it when a girl is hot. Likable girls are agreeable or, failing that, basically autistic. We'd rather you have flat aspect and no emotions than be an emotionally incontinent cunt.
Sass is just a form of scolding, something men stop tolerating from their own mothers by their teenage years, never mind their supposed equals and partners.
I can only speak for myself, but Grace's design/face throws me off in a bad way. And it's really annoying, cause I can't quite put my finger as to why. Drives me nuts.
It's almost as if something about her is triggering the uncanny valley. Which is weird, cause that never happens for me.
(The contrast between the depth they went into for Leon in terms of appearance/design/clothing is low key hilarious, though.)
A few weeks ago some AAA developer was complaining that no one buys games anymore. Yeah, no one buys your games, shithead. People still buy good ones in droves.
Yeah I am not a resident evil fan, ill be honest, i played the first one when it first came out lmao, got to the end, never beat it, just never had a desire to which is strange because I enjoyed parasite eve.
The raytracing implementation is really well done and with the city environments looks very photorealistic. On the level of alan wake 2 judging by some of the screenshots in r/nvidia.
I cant afford a 120$ (canadian after tax) game :(. The premier of nova scotia lowered the hst from like 16-15% which hey saves me like a few dollars or something.
But im sure the people who are buying yachts or real estate are enjoying that extra money they get to pocket, to bad they had to cut all these social programs like disability stuff and bus passes for school kids to pay for it lmao.
I loved the first half of Resident Evil 1. Just pure gothic horror. The second-half shift into goofy sci-fi horror wasn't my cup of tea, and the series has swerved hard in that direction ever since.
