Op is implying it's going to be a false flag so us can declare war on Iran

Those ships will intercept any missile miles before it reaches the carrier.

Is anyone capable of intercepting hypersonic missiles?

It's not that hard to intercept a hypersonic missile, but there's much less time available to shoot them down meaning it requires less of them to overwhelm point defenses

A good enough submarine is the biggest threat to a carrier aside from an asteroid.

This guy thinks a dozen ships can withstand hundreds of Iranian missiles, suicide drones, and decoys that managed to overwhelm the "iron dome", "david's sling", Arrow, and Thaad systems a few months ago. The answer is that they cannot.

For arguments sake, even if you assume that they have a completely fool proof defense system with 100% efficiency (lol), who do you think has more missiles? Iran, or a dozen ships floating in the middle of the ocean who are thousands of miles away from home? They're going to continue firing drones and missiles until the ships deplete their countermeasures and then it's fully over for them.

Supersonic? Iran has hypersonic missiles. Thats mach 5.

If you think the CIWS system (designed to counter threats in the 80s) can stop dozens of hypersonics, plus hundreds of suicide drones, and other random crap all at once..... just lol.

No worries. MSM has been lying (shocking, I know..) about the iran / israel war last year.

The reality of the situation was that israel got absolutely pounded by iranian missiles, and their missiles defense solutions failed to prevent missiles from hitting their cities. The ceasefire agreement was to save israel from further destruction, why else would israel push for ceasefire if they're clearly "winning"?

Eitherway, I have a ton of saved footage of missiles hitting Tel Aviv on my hard drive, not sure where you can find it online, but it's out there somewhere if you go looking for it.

Remember the Maine in the Gulf of Tonkin

permalink save report block reply

The Maine was destroyed accidentally, and the destruction was used by the NY Democrats and Pulitzer himself to push for a war in Cuba. The Gulf of Tonkin were 2 incidents: one real, and one fake. The initial one was related to a likely American provocation of supporting a ARVN Spec Ops attack on a NK position.

False flags rarely incur the level of deaths that a sinking of a US Aircraft Carrier would cause.

Because it's actually a real threat and the Navy didn't have an answer for it in the "Millenium Challenge", in which the USMC general in charge of faux-Iran OpFor exposed that the navy had little to no defense against co-ordinated, organized, zero-electronic communication, simultaneous attacks with combined missile bombardment. Let's look at the losses:

  • One aircraft carrier
  • Ten cruisers
  • Five of Six landing ships
  • Total dead approximately 20,000

Modern anti-ship missile technology, and anti-ship drone technology has wildly improved in 24 years. Our fleet's defensive capacity has improved, and we have absolutely deadly anti-ship drone missiles of our own.

However, Carrier's are not nearly as safe as they used to be.

That is true, also it is much more technically difficult and expensive to defend than attack when it comes to missile warfare.

The good old CRAM's are as inexpensive as anti-missile defense gets, but it can only take down smaller missiles, at close range, with limited success.

It's not that hard to sink a boat... A little.

It's very hard to keep it sunk. Could they, with the entire combined might of all their prowess and the prowess of their allies and neighbors, blow a hole in the side of one the older carriers? Probably, if that was their sole dedicated effort, complete with suicidal zealot attackers who don't expect to come back. Offense is vastly greater than defense in modern warfare, after all.

Then it takes on a bit of water, so it sinks a bit. They "sunk" it. And then it gets some ping pong balls tossed inside, some duct tape over the hole, and hops right back up. Some spot-welds and it's back to operational efficiency.

And then the country is gone for touching the boats.

And the only one profiting off this whole exchange would be Isr- ooooh, I see.

This has nothing to do with a false flag (kinda). What's going down is there is going to be open war with Iran (we all know it). They are covering their bases for when a DEI crashes a carrier. They can then blame it on Iran instead of diversity!

An open war with Iran is highly unlikely.

The best way to protect the fleet is to move it OUT of the Persian Gulf. They can still strike almost any target in Iran, but 90% of Iran's forces couldn't touch them. They're 'whitewater' and short range for the most part, concentrated in the Persian Gulf. Their ballistic missiles aren't accurate enough and would give enough warning to actually move out of the way (if they were in the Gulf of Oman).

So if the US fleet moves south-east? That's a warning of danger ahead!
