It's AD, not CE. CE is globohomo commie newspeak. Anytime you hear someone using the term CE instead of AD you can just tune out because you know that person's mind has been poisoned by communism. Mark my words, they will one day change the calenders, they will change the dates, the numerical years we go by. They will erase our history.
Using CE instead of AD is just the foothold. It's called the long march through the institutions and they will take their time, a hundred years if (((they))) have to. Easiest way to blow up the globohomo poisoned commie mind is to simply ask, "What day or event starts the CE?"
Always remember to use AD, not CE.
Edit: Wikipedia: "The term "Common Era" can be found in English as early as 1708,[5] and became more widely used in the mid-19th century by Jewish religious scholars."
its another "happy holidays" instead of merry CHIRSTmas situation
i always thought CE mean "Christian Era" until i realized the Shmuley Sheninigans behind that wording
The Incarnation means everything, and without it Easter is nothing. Easter means everything, and without it, the Incarnation would've been something entirely different.
Both are High Feast Days with their own preparation periods and celebration time, because of how important both are. Without both, humanity is damned.
Philippians 2 sums it up perfectly well.
It does pain me that secular world doesn't recognize Easter in a similar way as Christmas.
Yeah but rabbits are cute so they can stay
It chafes the Christ-killers having to be reminded of their deicide every time they look at a calendar.
It's not just the removal of domini/lord from the name, it lets them push even further and say it means "common era" when they think no-one is looking, slowly sliding further and further away from Christianity entirely.
Use "in the year of our Lord" each and every time. It's what AD means, but Anno Domini isn't understood by most.
Thought it was just "After Date", to indicate the number of years passed since that one significant day.
With a simple switch you too can mess with them.
BCE - Before Christian Era
CE - Christian Era
It’s funny because they still base their CE and BCE revisionist BS on Christ’s birth.
I imagine it infuriates them still. But what else are they going to use? And no one would even change their calendars.
Well said, man.
It's fun to fuck with their shenanigans, but even Christian Era is softening it, AD is year of the/our lord. It expressly positions as the belief in Christ as the lord and savior is the correct belief rather than just a common belief in the "Christian Era"
It is GG 13, the 13th year of Gamergate.
Always the Bolshevik “atheist” but really worshippers of the “true and pure light of Lucifer” this dog shit and the worst things of history are traced back to
Lol. All that work for nothing
The funny thing, the absolutely hilarious thing that the small minds entirely filled with their god can't grasp, is that we kept the numbering the same in CE/BCE out of laziness, and not out of some implicit rightness to your calendar.
It was seen as having been too much unneccessary work to rewrite all the dates in all the reference literature, since we had a good example from Japan with their whole Showa/Reiwa/etc era conversions to whatever CE period being an absolute pain in the ass.
But go on believing it's because everyone secretly loves keeping time by jesus.
I think you misinterpreted my post, but yes of course the reason AD/BC persisted (and pretty much still does since CE/BCE is just a reskin) is because of convenience. Even so, another demonstration of Christianity setting standards for white civilization.
Why was it adopted by everyone in the first place?
Chance. The christian cult happened to win the duel of delusions and become the dominant cult.
If the mudslimes had won instead and we had before mudhammad / after mudhammad, you'd be asking why anyone should care about BC/AD.
You're confusing familiarity for objectivity.
And let's all forget the stupid decimal calendar the French proto-commies tried to push, with a new year one set to the founding of their failure of a first republic. Luckily, based Napoleon got rid of it.
They already tried once, with a new year one to commemorate the murder spree they went on trying to destroy all the old traditions and culture. Luckily it didn't catch on, though they were able to get rid of their traditional measurement standards.

A cool thread about that
You mean it's not Universal Century?
... Who will survive?
what about after colony? or correct century?
FSHOO!
They're already doing that. Keep hard copies and quad-lined digital archives.
Yea, all who use the Gregorian Calender (especially for civil purposes) incidentally use AD in their dating. Other cultures use AD for this reason as a means of practicality.
There are perhaps better calendars than the Gregorian, but continuity is more efficient than optimization. More so if the system is universal already.
It is a miracle in itself that all of humanity has compromised to use a means of dating surrounding Christ. On a purely historical and sociological level, it shouldn’t have happened. Empires fall, religions fracture, languages diverge, calendars multiply, and yet nearly all of humanity coordinates its sense of time around the birth of Christ and what is written in scripture pertaining to the 7-day week. Even when His name is omitted (CE), the reference point remains untouched.
Our time keeping bears witness. History now has a before and an after. Time is linear, purposeful, and redemptive. Events are meaningful because they occur in relation to Christ.
It is a global confession. It is scriptural fulfillment.
I'll keep saying CE if only because it makes people like you sperg out.
I won't even need to dip into my deep pool of antireligious sentiment; the constant ree-ing from your type keeps the gears turning.
It is now 2026 CE. 2026 CE. Please watch your step as you exit the train.
Now do Islam. And Judaism. And mention it somewhere other than a niche online group of boards known to be right wing.
Sure. I've said before elsewhere that my antipathy for the jews, mudslimes, hindus, and etc. is just as deep as the one for your favorite bronze age book.
I mean, I'm not going to write some sort of unhinged manifesto, since that would take too long, but there's my stance on it.
We know its you the jewincel1
It cracks me up that he's become some sort of boogeyman for some of you guys.
I didn't even notice whenever he got banned, because I just blocked him and that weird firebomber alt after a while, and here you are, literally jumping at shadows.
Imp ban evade confirmed
This obviously isn't Imp lol. Too calm
He lives rent free in your head, eh?
I know this is pissing in the wind, since even here a mjlajority of people have no internal monologue and can't rotate the apple, but if you care to actually check instead of spouting stupid shit, you'll notice my account is decently old and has spent time actually arguing with that idiot.
Though I imagine you'll say some shit like that was some 5D chess where he pretended to argue with a sock puppet in order to maintain credibility, because ol' woman hater was notorious for his deep plans and multilayer schemes, and not just some raving schizo you could peg from a mile away.
Lol hello Imp
Guys, there's more than one militant atheist in the world. I don't think TheImp can physically comment more than 6 times without bitching about natalism somewhere. This guy hasn't mentioned it once in months, on an account that long predates TheImp's last known alt ban. Nothing about this looks like ban evasion.
I was just kidding, but I'd still like to see him disavow the Talmud anyway
Someone actually reported it, so figured I should address it.
Sure. Fuck the talmud. I hate judaism.
Happy?
How are you so deep, for someone so 14?
I have never heard someone use CE.
It's all over in academia because universities have been successfully subverted by globohomo commie faggotry.
I always preferred the year 12 thousand something which dates back to the oldest moment in recorded history and counts up from there. It's divorced from all other factors and is logically the most neutral date. BC AD is just weird with the reversed dates. Im not religious but I do like Christians a lot more than any other religion. It's the only one with actual respect, integrity and self governance that holds to a higher order of discipline than pretty much any other religion. The AD BC Gregorian calendar never really bothered me, but I just really like the idea of a calendar that puts us in the year 12 thousand.
And every time archeologists find some clay tablets or whatever recording something before the previous oldest moment, you have to recalculate every single record from the new zero date.
Note how the people pushing for CE don't also push to rename the pagan weekdays and month names. They simply hate Christ.
Happy Julian new year, I guess.
At work I used to piss everyone off by saying "Year of our Lord" after the year.
Happy New Year.....Of Our Lord
What's the date? January 14th, 2026 Year Of Our Lord
LOL make non-Christians seethe
And if someone said something i reply Don't be a BIGOT against My Christian Religious beliefs.
i like human era which just adds a 1 to the front but i think even that is too small
There's currently an effort to add 10,000 to the year number and call it "The Human Era."
They even make calendars to that end. I randomly saw one advertised on a video a few weeks ago.
I can't believe people are triggered by things like this so easily
AD is 00. CE is SEED.
Duh.
