Trump was always the master of not acting guilty even when he is (e.g. Trump University), why in the world is he acting like he's guilty as sin here? From attacking his own supporters to this.
My money stays on domino effect, a series of threats, Trump may not be tied to Epstein in ways the left hope, but someone has something on him and if these people are exposed they'll expose Trump on something else.
Or just straight up threats and promises, the people in those files are powerful, they won't go quietly.
It must be pretty serious, given that Trump is basically being forced to (maybe) pretend he's a pedo. Like how bad must the alternative be to basically implicate yourself in the court of public opinion?
I started formulating a theory last night that it's not the problems it'll cause him, it's the problems it'll cause his business associates and now political allies.
If he were able to be taken down by any of this they wouldn't have bothered with the retarded pee-tape, muh Russia, 81 million for Biden, and other hoaxes.
Fucking over his business associates would cause untold damage to his company and, at his age, he's going to be thinking about the wellbeing of his kids and (great?) grandkids, even though they seem to be doing fine.
Pure Copium, this paragraph: He needs the retarded Lindsey Grahams and other neocons to pass bills (rate him rainbows for that...). He also can't drop Epstein bombs on leftards without a lot of collateral damage.
That, or retarded boomer patriotism. A certain "We can't let the system fail, even though it's being propped up on the backs (and backsides....) of children!"
Shoot the pedos, bury them in a mass grave next to the communists, implement a harsher penalty than that for both, and move on. Things will be fine after a small period of discomfort.
Whatever's in the Epstein files ties Epstein squarely to Israel, the whole thing was probably some kind of intelligence or blackmail operation. Trump has seen this, and he's Israel's greatest ally, so he is doing everything he can to prevent Israel from being exposed. Remember, Trump only became against releasing the Epstein files after he read them.
Usually when I don't want to do something I loudly and repeatedly bring it to everyone's attention that it should be done and I'm gonna be the one to do it.
Then once I have the ability to do the thing I loudly and dramatically crash out. I decline to do the thing, and deny the thing should be done.
It works great in my personal life and career so I can't imagine why it isn't working for Trump here.
I'm not sure if Trump and Bondi and Co thought there was literally a manilla folder marked "Epstein Files" that was just sitting there waiting to be released. Like some video game fetch quest.
But all he had to say was that "The FBI are refusing orders to release it and are covering it up" and the FBI become public enemy #1, moreso than they already are. Than any leverage they have on him just looks like retalliation.
"Nothing to see here, move along" was precisely what made this shit blow up in his face the first time. It won't work any better for him now. The entire establishment has zero credibility, and we will not take their word on anything.
Trump can quickly realize this, or he can watch as the Republicans are slaughtered in the midterms, eventually leading to his impeachment. And when the left comes after him again, he will find he doesn't have nearly the support he had to make it through like last time.
And I'm saying that nobody would believe him and would rightly assume that he is just trying to cover it up. Transparency is his only option out of the mess.
The Dems finally "found something" after what? 8 years of searching? An e-mail Epstein sent to someone (not Trump!) which says... nothing much.
But they refuse to talk about people who actually went to Epstein's Island. Like Bill Clinton (26+ times are documented) Hillary (6+ times) or Carney (he posted vacation pics from there on his social media). & etc.
They didn't "find" anything. Trump loaded the weapon and handed it to them. The only reason he looks guilty is because he is acting guilty. And by the way he is acting, there might still be a kill shot buried in there somewhere.
Regardless, I don't blame the media or the Democrats for this. Trump shit in his own bed, and he deserves to sleep in it. This might be the biggest unforced political error that has happened in my entire lifetime.
Agreed. Don't know what Trumps motives are here, doubt it is himself as a client or he wouldn't have talked so loudly about releasing them before, and frankly, it would have come out earlier, isn't any way they sat on it with the other crap they pulled.
But his bizarre behavior from the summer seems like amateur hour for someone who normally has his finger closely to the pulse. I can only guess that someone he is close to, or some congressmen he needs right now, was/were a client and Trump didn't know. Or that some unrelated deal/credible threat was made and burying Epstein was part of it.
I favor a ill conceived deal, but I have no idea what could have been offered to offset it, possible he underestimated interest in Epstein.
I think the FBI destroyed everything, under Biden's orders. Or whoever was pulling Biden's strings :/
When people whine "The Republicans blocked it" they're talking about the RINOs who are in lock-step with Dems unless forced to keep their GOP party status.
We know there's LOTS of Dems and leftists who visited the Island at a minimum, probably a fair number of Repubs too. I think Trump's facing the situation where the fallout from a full disclosure could ruin American politics.
No matter what he does, the Dems and the Media will never stop hating him :/
This just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

this is actually pretty logical. wonder what it is.

Who even cares at this point. Trump went full retard this year.

All he had to say was he signed the EO, that's all the power a president has.I'm not a king as many like to point out.
Or he could have said the files were tampered with during the Biden administration and aren't usable as evidence anymore.

I'm not saying he should have said nothing to see here, I'm saying he'd have been better off blaming the swamp that he used to promise to drain.

Are we still talking about the Epstein files?

Maybe he called Boebert hoping that this would distract his base so they stop talking about how they're being replaced with cheap foreign labor?
At this point it we can be certain it is never going to come out because there are too many people with money and power involved.
Plan trusters don't want to admit it but Trump's heel turn betrayal of the base is directly connected to Netantahu's visits and the Epstein op.
