Silent Hill f is a perfect example of the gaslighting that has become the go-to strategy for leftist assholes in recent years. They’ve stopped trying to convince us that woke is good because most people have rejected it. So now leftists just try to gaslight by claiming that nothing is woke and you’re just shadow boxing like a paranoid loser. I’ve seen this everywhere with Borderlands 4, Ghost of Yotei, Silent Hill f. Lefties don’t even bother defending the woke elements in these games - they just tell you you’re crazy for believing your lying eyes.
One of the strongest elements of Leftism argumentation is the need to "cite" or "source" everything. Nothing can be self evident, you must have a hard definition for it with a "credible" backing for it.
So despite everyone knowing what you mean by Woke, because its not specifically defined its not a real thing and they can dismiss it entirely. And it looks successful to the masses because most people stumble in trying to answer the question that is designed to be unanswerable for 99% of us.
You can do that with almost any Leftie cause. Sluttery is bad, we all know it is and I don't need science to explain it. Same with criminal behavior. Same with unchecked immigration. Its self evident.
Leftists do not seek to understand. They seek to bludgeon you into submission, using words like they're casting fucking magic spells.
And if they're incapable of understanding, are they even human? At that point, stop trying to reach some kind of mutual common ground and treat them like the insects they are.
I've been using "debate club nonsense" to describe it, and I feel that summarizes it the best.
They consider victory in the same way a debate club does. Finding the correct combination of words, aggression, and other nonsense to just trip you up and confuse you. And once they do that, they consider themselves victorious and correct.

I can’t fathom buying a single player game at or near release. It will cost half as much in 2-3 years, and that’s plenty of time to find out whether or not it’s leftist trash.
Someone's optimistic. Companies realized this mindset years ago, and have been actively working to prevent it from being true in most cases unless it was a massive flop or some other circumstance.
Most of them don't even get a full price reduction in 2-3 years, and you will be lucky if they go on bigger sale than 30% in that time frame.
This is true -- they also keep the price inflated through "live service" wankery; new DLC here and there or some "big" update that "adds" new content to the base game (when in reality it's just patching the game to be fixed the way it should have been at launch). It gives them incentive to keep the price up while flashing "new" content in front of the eyes of itchy-fingered consumers.
Almost every game has something like "GOTY Edition" (even if it was a bomb everyone hated) to basically fluff the price with all the random DLC and patches as well.

I got it on a deep discount from a key site and was hearing good things. Plus outside of the phrase "patriarchal husband" there's not much wokery in the first few hours.

It really clicked with me when I saw the latest Indiana Jones video game.
I saw people playing the first chapter in the Vatican with the pastor as your buddy and was along the lines of 'Huh, basic, a little fanservice-y, might be cool'.
...then I saw reviews showcasing the rest of the goddamn game. And it made me seriously wonder if they did the first chapter as a trojan horse to try and force the rest of it on gamers.
