It's just wild they were saying stuff like this openly - bragging about getting one over on Putin, and taking Russia's Ukraine - and then turn around and say it was unprovoked.

At least pick a lane. The world would be better if people were at least honest. And I do respect even an honest villain more than a dishonest one.

They're terrible at predicting outcomes.

They have a bunch of money and zero sense.

They terrify me but I'm not afraid of them.

I don't think you understand the sequence of events described by the interviewee in this clip. Regardless of whether or not you agree, I don't think you are capable of summarizing his position.

This is a weird comment.

What exactly is your objection, and what are you objecting to?

I think it's you who isn't understanding something, but if I'm misunderstanding feel free to correct me.

If you want to properly make a counter argument, you must first summarize your opponents position. I don't think you can do that.

You haven't even made an argument yet, though.

Yeah this is what I'm talking about, you get lost when there's more than one layer of abstraction. Serious question: Is english your first language?

I also have no idea what you tried to say.

It’s unnerving seeing how well Colbert presented as rational and charismatic in older clips. You would never think this is the same guy who fronted the Vax Scene dancers.

Colbert used to be sane and stable enough that he ran a show for almost a decade as a parody of a Conservative, and did it with such sincerity and softness that almost no one was offended by it.

Whether TDS overtook his brain, or he simply reached the level of fame/power that he could finally be his own self, there is a marked difference between his old self and now. Even if just from a talent level.

I don't know, man. Perhaps he sold out for the new show. Perhaps he was always this way and the conservative parody made everyone see whatever they wanted to see in him. And perhaps... he's just an actor and it was the old writers who were the talent.

Whatever the reason, he was stable enough to not only successfully commit to the bit without making it a never ending "hurrr, I'm retarded" joke and also interact directly with major Conservative figures of the time. And at the very least it was funny without much in the way of direct preaching, the opposite of his current show.

TDS is a helluva drug. I used to watch him and Jon Stewart on the Daily Show and Colbert Report and loved them. I wasn't red pilled back then but I re-watched some old clips and they are still funny.

You would be shocked to know that he played a live-action version of the Ambiguously Gay Duo on SNL and it was funny as shit! Dude was legit.

The Boston Massacre

Fort Sumpter

Pearl Harbor

January 6th

October 7th (Israel)

Russian Invasion of Ukraine

Calling totally preventable attacks on the US or US allies (or vassals) "unprovoked" is US doctrine

This leftist "America can do no right" nonsense is worse than the "America can do no wrong" nonsense. The "provocation" that caused Pearl Harbor was America refusing to do business with the kind of murderous death cult that turns a card-carrying Nazi into a Chinese folk hero by contrast.

many people think the provocation was The US refusing to sell oil to japan, but I reject that idea.

the provocation was moving the fleet to Pearl harbor in the first place, making it a threat to Japan in order to deter them from taking the islands to their South to secure oil.

we should have known they would at least be thinking about attacking, anyone who thought that attack was unprovoked or "sudden" was a fucking idiot.

Telling that Gideon Rose used an analogy painting Russia as Tyrone from the hood & the EU as being yuppie "husband material".

Edit: Then made a closing reference that the EU was perfectly fine being cucked by Russia & Ukraine by not demanding an "exclusive" relationship.

Edit: Then made a closing reference that the EU was perfectly fine being cucked by Russia & Ukraine by not demanding an "exclusive" relationship.

To be fair, it was more painted as the West being the cucker, not the cuck. After all, the premise was Ukraine was already Russia's, so if we're "non-exclusive", it's still Big Bad Russia that is losing. We're just tricking them, but they're the cucks in his analogy.

"We" didn't demand exclusivity, because we were tricking those stupid cucked Russians, is the argument.

Simply put, if you're fucking someone's girlfriend, you gain from them being non-exclusive, not the previous boyfriend. You're not the cuck for fucking someone else's girl. His whole argument is that we were taking Russian's chick.

Never once did I laugh

The laughter sounds fake and pre-recorded

This is like sesame Street for adults. Dumbed down rehearsed narration

you don't see how the laughter seems fake and how colbert plays retard asking questions so his dumb low iq audience giggles when cue'd by fake laugh tracks? It's sesame street for adult retards. No one would want to be around stephen colbert at a party. He's a puny weirdo and he's not funny without the laugh tracks. Parties sound gay. I don't want to fund your charities for Hors d'oeuvres
