2 female vtubers getting cancelled for daring to defend men . One got doxed. . This adds to my theory that vtubing has allowed more right wing women (or just normal minded women) to freely speak their mind . There's more "based" vtuber females than there is "based" real life female streamers . (www.youtube.com)

I would argue part of it is the anonymity allows them to speak their minds without having to worry about the hive mind attacking them for doing it. Because I have also argued normal women are more common than the internet makes it seem, because most normal women either arent on the internet or get bullied into alignment by the feminist types.

And it isnt even like most of these women are actually right-wing, they really are just normal. Kitsu (the one who got doxxed) actually showed her own political compass test and it showed she ended up in Lib-Left (although she has shown at least nominal support for AfD, so make of that what you will).

The one that gets me is, as reprehensible as it is to dox Kitsu, she is (or was before this and her last cancel attempt) a smaller creator. At least they can try and bully her with the only thing saving her being that she is so headstrong. But the other one they attacked was SquChan, who is one of the bigger names in Vtubing and one of the more famous artist in that sphere that everyone has at least heard of even if they dont watch her. How the hell did they think they would be able to bully her?

Honestly, between this and the Kirsche fight back where most of the community sided with Kirsche, the Lefts attempts to push into Vtubing are ending as poorly for them as Gamergate did. And it doesnt help when they get outed as tourist for not even knowing the basic terminology of the space they are trying to get into.

the Lefts attempts to push into Vtubing are ending as poorly

Vtubing is hugely parasocial, for better or worse. So attempting to attack anyone is going to have the most deranged, angry fans possible pushing back on you. Guys that are already terminally online as a requirement and likely filled with autistic hyperfocus, so whoever puts their name to the "attack" is going to have all their dirt revealed instantly and then reversed back.

Made even worse for them that vtuber fans are almost all weebs, lolicons, or other demographics that have been under "attack" for decades. So these attempts at shame or discrediting just roll off their back.

Its why all the more successful attacks target the weakest links. The girls themselves. Making them cry, panic and lose themselves until they do the cancelling for the mob.

Its why all the more successful attacks target the weakest links. The girls themselves. Making them cry, panic and lose themselves until they do the cancelling for the mob.

But as we saw with Silvervale, even that isnt a guarantee. Because they managed to get Silver to do all of that, but then her fans rallied around her and told her she shouldnt feel bad for playing a game she wanted to just because the Twitter Freaks complained about it. So instead of backing off, she listened to her fans and doubled down, and to this day continues to tell the Freaks to fuck off and that they have no power over her.

So the fans can help keep that link from breaking just as much as the other way around. And when you have the combination of a stubborn streamer like Kitsu with an equally stubborn audience, basically the only way to get rid of them would be going all in on a cancelation (we are talking debanking tier tactics), and they cant exactly do that for some 50k subscriber streamer who told them to piss into the wind.

Silver had the benefit of being in the midst of a very much bigger cultural battle, where the tide was hard turning against the ones trying to cancel her, and numerous other people managing to play/stream the game anyway.

If they had successfully "won" the Hogwarts Legacy front, Silver probably would be considered another casualty instead of a success story.

we are talking debanking tier tactics

I'm not completely in the know, but didn't they attempt to get her gamersupps sponsorship removed? That's basically the equivilant of debanking on the internet, as its an attempt to remove the ability to act and use revenue, though granted not nearly as overwhelmingly powerful.

Fortunately gamersupps is a degenerate company that sponsors literally anyone, so they aren't the easiest bond to break.

My counter would be Silver kind of made her own success with that. Sure, there was already a lot of anger over Pikamee seemingly being driven off the internet by Hogwarts issues, but Silver was also being pretty crushed down on. But ironically, them driving Silver to tears live on stream I watched in real time flip a lot of the good will the anti-Hogwarts people had to negative feelings and a desire to push back. And seeing that they werent going to forgive her, we also saw Silver double down, say she was going to play the game, and even coin the term "Twitter Freaks" which, much like NPC, they have never been able to live down.

Which is all a long way of saying, I dont think it was a sure of a conclusion on Hogwarts Legacy and that the people attempting those cancelations were doomed to fail. I dont really see any timeline where people would take the attempt to cancel Hogwarts Legacy and anyone who played it seriously. Harry Potter is just too popular with too many normies, so any cancelation attempts would have been doomed no matter how much power the Woke have.

didn't they attempt to get her gamersupps sponsorship removed?

For Kirsche yes, and I imagine they would be more willing in her case just because she has a lot more pull within the political sphere so there would be more of a reason.

I was more talking about it in relation to SquChan and Kitsunero for this particular video, because they both also dug their heels in and fought back against the cancel mob, both of them also have gamersupps sponsors (Squ has even done the artwork for a few creators, and is possibly going to have her own cup in the near future), and no one even talked about their sponsors in the recent attempts.

I watched in real time flip a lot of the good will the anti-Hogwarts people had to negative feelings and a desire to push back

This is my entire point. The tide turned, almost completely. The people bullying her were so defeated that the game they wanted gone became a massive success and everyone laughed at them.

If that hadn't been the case, I think Silver wouldn't have found the strength to turn it around and would have crumbled. She gained an entire army to rally behind her, instead of just her own fans.

Either way, Silver did waver. In a way her own fans never would, because they are fucking weebs and weebs are used to being under attack. She was the weaker link, and luckily was in the right place that a lot of people rushed to support her in that critical moment of instability.

Harry Potter is just too popular with too many normies, so any cancelation attempts would have been doomed no matter how much power the Woke have.

Of course, that was their critical error. The last few years have been a continued show of trannies overestimating how secure their powerbase was and over shooting trying to wield it. This is the reason why we are seeing them lose more and more the last year after a decade of seeming unbeatable.

But that's also what makes this an anomaly. HP is way too big for them to get everyone on board the hate train, so their actions backfired heavily. They couldn't form the narrative, so people supported their enemies.

Yup. The fandoms are like bones or muscle, they only grow stronger through weak attempts to damage them.

It's no surprise, a lot of the more left leaning vtubers have self imploded over the years and react videos of Vtubers seem to REALLY love channels like Fat Electrician and Kentucky Ballistics to react to.

The anonymity does help them give their honest views more but I'd just argue even more, the left AREN'T entertaining. The biggest Vtubers are either entertainment focused s more neutral, not mentioning politics at all or like edgy humour which doesn't gel with the left.

I just assumed many of the based vtubers were male. Am I wrong?

Pretty much, the male vtubers tend to either be selling the bf experience, trans (which I'll be honest can go either way as they can just be submissive to the right) or feeding into the 'daddy issues' crowd.

You don't get as many like Joel or Heavenly who don't mind calling out BS.

And even using Heavenly is cheating a little bit, because he was part of Russian Badger's crew before he became a Vtuber. So not only did he not start in the space, he hung out with guys who take a competitive stance on being politically incorrect for the meme.

True but Porcelainmaid at least is an example of the more based ones in that he regularly mocks the fact he is in a female avatar but using a normal voice.

It's weird but I think the parasocial relationship of audience to vtuber encourages more 'based' behaviour as look at how quickly Sinder burned her career out compared to people coming to Kirsche's defence.

I could believe it. And I think since a lot of their fans came from video gaming and know about how the Woke carry themselves, they can help their favorite streamer know what to watch out for when the woke try to infiltrate their ranks. Like how I saw the other day (in relation to the Kirsche stuff), one of her fans managed to out someone as a tourist because they didnt know what the word "oshi" meant.

Many are, many aren't. Both in terms of male-female split, and based-cucked split.

The case in question though circles around female vTubers, and one in particular having photos of her leaked alongside dox info (don't store sensitive data on the cloud! And yes, a cosplay photoshoot is sensitive data if you're maintaining anonymity!). The whole ordeal started over her saying "men deserve to be cherished and loved" (you gotta give a little parasocial to get a little parasocial), and the femcels getting REAL assmad about it.

Never understood the vtuber thing but I had leaflit come up on my feed and she seems pretty cool so I subbed and I know kirsche does a lot of political stuff. I'm curious if you guys think the based vtubers are legit based though, or if they just see a good way to make money, telling guys what they want to hear?

Some are based, some present a product, some are... other.

Pippa's rants sounds to me like genuine paranoid schizo energy at times. She on occasion falls into rants about feds and plots about trafficking her specifically and sleeper agents lying in wait, and her coworkers/co-streamers very clearly are trying to reign her back in when it happens: if it's planned, they're definitely not in on it, despite being part of the same agency, just hired after it was successful as opposed to her very early hiring status. Her "based"ness is likely a side-effect of her paranoia about governmental (foreign and domestic) interference in everyday life. Very pleasant rabbit as long as nothing startles or triggers her. Very much like a real rabbit in that sense.

Kirche has been doing no-no talks for a long time. She's genuine. She does talks on BRIDGE, on Soros' interference on cultural movements, how DEI works to destabilize societies while working alongside fed resources, things far beyond what a "safe" money-making plan would entail. She has lost income and sponsors over her views, it's likely a net-loss position for her, when she could easily dial it back a smidge for personal profit.

But a lot of them are doing it for image. Several that do "based" reactions/whatnot had come out in support of the assassins against Trump during the election cycle, in example, which should be a clear indicator of their stances which likely haven't significantly changed in 9 months. You can't maintain character 24/7 very easily, and a lot of them self-report on Bluesky or X... In fact, the mere fact they have BlueSky is a bit of a warning sign of a self-report.

I view them as grifters, the reason they come off as more based and reasonable I believe to be a result of many of them being company owned and having PR guys telling them how to be likable and not come off as insane like typical women do when they don't have a man telling them what to say.

Yeah that's my theory, though I don't claim to be an expert on them by any stretch. I know some are independent (like the two I mentioned) but even then I wonder if they just realized it's just good business. I will say, some of womens retardedness in politics comes from the pressure to fit in and not go against the crowd, so maybe OPs theory has merit too.

I am sure it counts for some of them, but I dont buy that it is most of them. If it was just a grift, they would back down the second the mob came because that would be the better way to keep making money. Most of them have responded by digging in and doubling down, which is not the response of grifters in general.
