Andor Season 1 was a masterclass on documenting the rise of a resistance movement, and now Disney is going to throw it all away with a token anti Trump scene that totally breaks the audience out of disbelief.
Season 1 was typical DEI writing. The lead character is Hispanic, the blond evil lady villain has a side-story about a male imperial administrator falling short (female competent/male incompetent dynamic). Too many boss ladies to count. Two murderous lesbian rebels, interracial couple. Some ridiculous side-story about a hyper-advanced prison that got defeated by a leaky faucet. A boyfriend becoming jealous of his overly competent rebel girlfriend (and her relationship with her ex) and becoming a traitor (or something).
You should have seen the pattern enough times by now to know it always gets worse and more woke in season two. Nobody should be surprised by this anymore. Giving a new series on a streaming service a chance is just repeating the same action over and over, expecting a different result.
It's so crazy, I mean why did they wait so long?! The biggest critique to star wars episode 4 was that despite being a revolution no one attempted to rape anyone! Kek
Oh look, season 2 strikes again. Every time someone tells me how good and not woke a new show is I always wait for season 2 to come out before I try it. Never fails.
I'm getting the feeling Andor will become the next Mandalorian. First season is great, then Disney fills it with Woke garbage and wonders why people are disappointed with it
Mandalorian was a generational fumble. All they had to do was stick to the “adventure of the week” formula while focusing on mando and baby yoda. Instead, they just had to make the series about a bunch of girl bosses. Same thing happened with Witcher. We can’t have male-led media anymore.
Sadly it's working -- the amount of normies I see praising a lot of Disney slop like Andor, Prey, and Alien: Romulus lets me know that they're chipping away at the normies with incrementalism.
It really is like clockwork. Makes sense, when you think about it; unknown, untested IP needs to prove its value in the market place before leftists are willing to dedicate resources to subverting and converging it.
Now that I think about it, that's why the Acolyte bombed so hard. Nobody had any reason to like the show before it was canceled. But somehow, it returned for season 2
Who the fuck still watches these cheesy overproduced crappy shows and movies bled out by identity politics? The acting is bad, the story is bad, the effects look boring.
At this point, I don't even know who's the target audience in mind. The next generation of youngsters generally speaking don't fuck with the woke bullshit. I'm guessing so that it's the 30-40 crowd they are catering too.
Normies who have to justify their subscriptions to all these shitty streaming services because they can't imagine a better way to use their free time, and who DREAD missing out on any conversations that may spring up from whichever show turns into the next big thing.
"We're all a product of rape" What does that even mean? That every single woman was raped in order to have children? That consent doesn't even exist, that it's just all rape?

Typical Disney. They cannot go broke soon enough.

It goes on and on.

100% spot-on. The insanity of people getting riled up over the Season 2 effect that streaming services incur is crazy to me.
I'm curious how many more times we'll have to see this play out before people get it?

No, they know why. The purpose of woke media isn't to make money, it's to reprogram the viewers.

Yes.

Leave.
I'm so sorry that his parents didn't love him enough
Or too much. Could go either way.
The attempted rape scene was part of a larger "poor illegal workers oppressed by the evil Empire" theme. Another one bites the dust.
Have you seen the Edith rape attempt in "All in the Family"?

“I’m shocked, shocked, to find that woke propaganda is going on in here!”
Just what I wanted in Star Wars, rape. Nothing says Star Wars like rape. Sith rape, Imperial rape, Rebel rape, it all fits.
"We're all a product of rape" What does that even mean? That every single woman was raped in order to have children? That consent doesn't even exist, that it's just all rape?
An inversion of who is doing the raping IRL, to be sure.
Star Wars?
Never even heard of andor.
Fifty Shades of Andor?
The Vajedi Monologues?
Padawanback Mountain?
