I'm one who hated that the word racist was used in Witcher 3. Made 0 sense considering that racism as a concept is extremely modern, tribalism was the natural state of the world. Also that was a dwarf it was a different specie entirely.
The term "Racism" was invented by fascists in the 1928 to refer to the doctrine of racial supremacy.
The modern concept of racism was literally invented by Socialists.

Now do "non-binary".
"Your program has stopped working after encountering a value overflow."
I luckily haven't had much real-world experience with trans people or idiots spouting pronouns. The few times I did, and they introduced themselves with pronouns, I'd pause for just a second or two and stare at them until it started to get awkward before simply saying "I'm Name." So satisfying.
Funnily enough, even though they were one of the forerunners of woke ideology, none of the original DA games even used the term "gay" (or bisexual, or lesbian, or homosexual, or...). Despite the series' bad worldbuilding and growing promotion of Californian politics, the writers were at least trying to make Thedas feel like a fantasy world divorced from our own in the first three games, where the people's speech patterns don't fully match ours. Which should be the absolute minimum in writing any story that doesn't take place in contemporary times.
The current stock of Bioware can't even do that. Everyone talks and sounds like some modern-day American college asshole.
Game of Thrones was the same until D&D took over fully. In addition to retarded writing choices such as ballista that were achieving railgun levels of projectile velocity you had the various archers going from using "loose" to "fire" because of shitty writers who only ever think in modern vernacular.
One of my only problems with the LotR trilogy. They also say "fire!" And its irritating
The "fire" thing is telling. They parrot words without understanding their underlying meanings. No wonder they are so easily manipulated.
DA2 is almost the Patient Zero for Woke Ideology driven gaming and it still lets you bully the fuck out of all the activist characters and side with racists, bigots, and assholes everytime.
So on top of trying to build a world, they were also still not afraid to let you roleplay on the chance you were a Bad Thinker.
Seeing as how I'm currently replaying it, I'd argue that Dragon Age Origins actually has excellent world building. Running through the campaign has been an absolute slog because of all the bloody reading I'm stopping to do. They absolutely put the work in on the world building for this one. I maintain that it was the last game Bioware actually released.
"Come lads, let us storm the darkest cave and slay the legendary dragon to save our country from a fiery doom!!!!!!"
"Okay."
"Heck, yeah bro! Love that Riz!"
That's horrifically perfect.
You're hired as a consultant writer for Dragon Age 5. Hang on, you must fit at least two opression checkboxes.
Expect to be fired when the project gets canceled anyway.
Consumers: "I should go."
Well, when you can't read a character's poorly portrayed facial expressions and don't get a good understanding of their priorities, morals, or goals, you're stuck asking everyone how they're doing at most every juncture in a storyline.
I'd also bet that DA4 has several times more writing than the previous games, because from what I've seen, the characters never shut the fuck up.

I yell at people a lot for not doing this, so thank you for doing this.
Okay, what's your point?

We'll bang, okay?
Wait, wrong Bioware game.
Check the word “like” as well. I’d wager that word has skyrocketed too
