When it comes to DEI, never attribute to stupidity that which is adequately explained by malice. They'll get their payout from Blackrock plus any money from normies who don't know any better, and I have little doubt that at some point Quinn will pull a "Help! Help! Gamergate is targeting our game!" for a few extra sales.
It will probably absolutely bomb but the "right people" will still walk away with money in their pockets. Rinse and repeat.
Occam's Razor is a useful tool for interpersonal relationships, recognizing your friend is more likely to have been thoughtless rather than spiteful.
It is a terrible tool for judging the operation of impersonal organizations and their impact. When both malice and incompetence lead to destruction, they should be treated the same way.

Occam's Razor basically says that you should try to find the simplest solutions to problems or make the least assumptions possible, but that might be a different story.

Have you seen the trailer? You play as an angry black female marine, who is strong and defiant, finding the inner strumpf to resist the alien colonizers.

I give Aliens a pass, usually, because a female lead has been a part of the story since day one, but since ZQ is involved you know she shoehorned the black part in there. Also $5 says she'll be a lesbian, too.
In the trailer she says her name is (shit you not) "Zula Hendrix" and she says "Not once will I bow my head. I will carve my name into this planet with a smoking crater!" Also the voice actress is pushing the black accent so hard it's difficult to understand.
