I'm sure that works both ways.
Right?
Right?!
Of course not. The United States is a republic, so when they say 'our democracy' they mean the hegemony of the Democratic party.
No, when they say "Our Democracy" they mean the administrative state -- they don't care which side of the uniparty is pretending to be in charge.
There is, in fact, a guarantee for all kinds of speech outside of a very narrow band of direct credible threats.
He's also not a fan of borders, or missing out on exploiting alien labor:

I'm willing to give up a few days of Thanksgiving in exchange for a lifetime of no illegals.
What does that even mean? Giant corporations aren’t willing to pay American citizens “living wages” so they need to exploit illegals?

They have apparently come around to insisting that immigrants are the only ones who will do hard labor or dirty jobs for relatively (probably below 'minimally') cheap.
Yet they still obsess over raising the minium wage.
Emotional voters don't care about the incongruousness, only how many magic words you can spam like it's a fucking MMO. The 19th Amendment was a mistake.
They've really positioned themselves with the worst possible candidates to truly make this the most important election of our lives.
I have a slim hope that this is even too egregious for the NPC cattle to swallow / too big to rig.
Gay race communism or America.
I think a lot of candidates hate free speech in general but are savvy enough to not just come out and say it. They'll even vote against laws inspired by it should it mean political suicide.
For them, Walz is a bellwether to see if the proverbial frog knows its slowly boiling in water. And if Walz doesn't get serious pushback then, well, I hope we can afford lawyers for the inevitable day we're brought up on charges of hate speech.
Sorry, dude. It doesn't work like that.
It'll only get worse as AI gets better at scraping data and pattern recognition. Even your random anonymous shit posting will contain enough data points over time to identify you.
And hey, even if it's not you, it'll be on YOU to prove that their blackbox software was incorrect and lawyers aren't cheap. Process is the punishment and all that
If it gets better at pattern recognition, we'll be fine until it gets lobotomized for asking the wrong questions.

In hypothetical tense, but it did pass in 2023:
Does he not understand how free speech works? What it means?
Oh, he's a libtard, so of course not.
He understands perfectly: free speech is an inconvenience for him and his allies, so they work to chop it up and whittle it down through a series of lies and exceptions. There is no misunderstanding on his part, just desire for power.
he's a fat, communist, oath breaking faggot alright.
Still frames of this asshole always make him look like a fat, loud-mouthed cunt.
So they're generally accurate?
100%
Traditionally, it's seen as the role of the vice president to come across as slightly more crazy than the presidential candidate.
That's why he's making statements such as this and referring to the 'had sex with a couch' meme.
"And guess who gets to define things like hate speech or misinformation..."
Anyone that refers to "our democracy" is automatically assumed to be stupid. This clown understands nothing. Free speech is unpopular speech. There is no such things as hate speech
What he means is "my job." It's a little freudian slip they all do, because the last thing they even want to think about is representing the people, so it's easier to imagine the people as the enemy. Helps them sleep at night.
Anyways.. it's the sign of a weak mind. Too bad there aren't any journalists around to pounce on it.
The UK is the canary in the coal mine and what is happening there will inspire other countries including the Democrats in the USA to follow suit.
Why does he hate black people so much? You know "hate speech laws" will hurt them the most.
It'll never be enforced in all directions.
Obviously.
Isn't that like question number 1 you're asked when you want to become a leftist? Do you want free speech?
He can suck my Walz
No communist is.
