Ever feel like right wing anime fans are generally more based than the average republican? its depressing how many republicans supported Scott even in this. (twitter.com)

Probably because they understand culture WAY better than average Republicans, at least those in office definitely.

Those Republicans position themselves as a reaction to the left if they aren't uniparty and dismiss Anime as cartoons and gaming as frivolous.

The Anime enjoying Republicans understand how stories are VERY important to changing the ideas and culture of the public at large as well as introducing concepts. You got everything from AoT, FMA, Gundam, Evangelion, Spice and Wolf etc exploring concepts in an engaging way than just droning on at you like you're stuck in a class or in the most boring sermon. You'll get more people to accept family values by watching Anime (Praise Abe) than having some old Republican drone at you.

"In the Beginning, was the Narrative"

All cultures are based on stories.

For example, religion, conservatism was A LOT stronger when you had communities focused around a church than current climate.

Well, yes, because small towns were the norm, not cities, and the Church was not just the centrepiece of the town, it was also how people got together and socialized once a week. Even when it came to cities, you had your neighbourhood churches/"parishes". Even if you didn't give a shit about the stories, old people liked to see their friends, and as a kid you got brunch and maybe a drive out in the country afterwards.

But as cities grew, and became more "diverse", that started to break up once you have different "denominations", never mind religions.

As it is, we used to more or less know the same books, and watch the same movies and TV shows. The very forces that want to homogenize humanity is causing it to fracture even more than might have happened naturally. We don't have to watch Hollywoke propaganda, we can watch something else instead, maybe made by some nobody somewhere no one knows.

The average republicans seem to be reactionaries who are in politics to "play for a team" without thinking about actually leading society's culture at large.

To be fair, that's the majority of both bases. It's just that the left have fancy slogans and more mouthpieces shouting their slogans.

The left also have open corporate backing from the biggest players.

They also understand beauty, and how it can influence people. For good or for ill, sure - but I'd rather have explicit fanservice than shapeless, genderless tumbler-blobs.

Anime and manga both are focused very much on beauty. I could take pages from Blame! and 'A Young Bride's Tale', frame them, and they'd probably receive high accolades.

It ain't just Japan, ALL of Asia still understands beauty

Look at the women in Korean Manhwa and Chinese Manhua, they are all VERY beautiful unless they are the old disgusting villian stereotypes and same for men as they tend to go fir the stoic handsome muscular man archetype.

Did notice there is a lot of focus on the hourglass sizable booty types with both, look up the Korean Reality Quest and the Chinese I am the fated villian to prove my point.

I think it’s due to anime being niche (when you go away from the main stream) and thusly you’re not dealing with ubernormies (plus we like our weebshit as it’s not pozzed to hell and back so we tend to gravitate to it), being out of the gay partisan shit also helps in general

Is it though? I don't think anime and manga is any more niche than say TCG like MTG. It was at one point but today it is so wide spread that you're bound to find at least one or two who participate in ani,e or manga in a small sample of people at the office. I've been watching this since the late 80s and I've noticed how widely popular it's become. I think it's just that a lot of the people from this era are naturally more level headed from growing up at the "right time in history." Compared to the poor fools who were born in the 90s and later.

We might be influencing votes through culture but Pressler is securing votes in a different way.

I see it less as courting the inmate vote and more as undermining the lefts BLM messaging. Harris is on record sending innocent people to prison, mostly black people. She did this to further her career. the fact that she even became vice president is proof that the Democrats don't actually care about black people.

we all knew this, but this is a way of exposing it to the normies.

It's not undermining it at all. It's them saying "we're the real BLM!" It's completely accepting the left's stances and then claiming to be better at implementing them.

If they want to court the black vote they should just emphasize how immigration is hurting blacks. They don't have to lie, either because it is. Blacks have speaking out about it more.

Sending a White faggot to say, "how do you do fellow niggas" to a bunch of prison inmates is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

if you've only seen one conservative influencer speak out about it, then you're not following the right people .
