How fast does it run out of fuel? Strangely enough rl targets don't drop ammo. How fast does it turn? Can I just run around it?
Likely very fast because it's a flame thrower.
Likely very fast because it's a BD spot: https://youtu.be/2SpNjBI1lu0?t=586
Maybe? You'd be better off running out of range than risk running in a circle. It's a gimmick. The kind of autonomous weapon system that will kill you looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/vmfr5H3.jpeg or this: https://i.imgur.com/ykoBKkY.jpeg
You don't even need explosives. A tiny drone with a laser could blind people in a blink of an eye. Even worse than explosives because they become a drain on the remaining people.
The only thing stopping this even with today's technology is that it's so horrific.
Preppers should stock up on Apple Vision Pro™ to protect their eyes from lasers.
It might not be a very effective standalone tool, but it certainly adds options.
Imagine you have some combatants pinned in cover/a small building. You just have to aim at the exits and send in the hot-dog to flush them out.
This isn't the most terrifying they can make, drone combat bulldozers, now THAT'S terrifying
Imagine 6 remotely controlled killdozers flattening your defenses, trenches, base then population centers as they are near impervious to most rocket attacks let alone mines.
You better PRAY to God Toyota or Nokia don't get involved in development. Imagine if they become as study as their pick-up trucks or phones...
Look for the weak spot and aim. It's like it was invented by Dr Robotnik.
It's powered by a cute little hamster running on a wheel inside?
We can't disprove it.
So... a walking warcrime waiting to happen? Because that's what using flamethrowers on civilians is classified as.
We not getting the jokey names yet?
Spot(ter), Firedo, Over-Rover, (Un)Lucky.
I mean if I'm going to be crispy BBQ meat I want to know there's a cute pet name for the machine making me into it.
Why not simply Hot Dog?
That's really good! xD
Dogbbqmeat?
Amazon/Fallout might try and dibs n that one but it's good Galean!
I'd wager this is mainly intended for controlled burning scenarios, which honestly makes some sense from a pure safety standpoint.
Exactly. Would be good for back burns for wildfire control. Would have to be VERY ruggedized though.
Along those lines, that's why stuff like this was done years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZFUzXB2c8g
It's almost as dangerous as a pitbull in a daycare. Almost.
relevant question: 12 gauge slug + 5-7 round? or 308 with 30 rounds?
also, where do you think the best place to aim would be?
Any of the joints of the front legs.
that seems like a tough Target to hit under stress, and even if you hit one, I'm pretty sure they would be able to stay standing on three legs.
I was thinking maybe in the very front on the camera? get rid of its ability to sense and all.
Can it melt steel beams?
No, but this good boy can fetch them.
