Jeez, just looked up the video; they gave him so many chances. They let him chase one officer all the way down a hallway, outside, and almost around a corner, guns pointed at him the whole time. He had every chance to just stop.
Also, is this another of the classics, where they use a picture from when he was younger? Hard to tell in the grainy footage, but he certainly looks a bit bulkier then the picture they're using. He was only 15, but was he like 13 in the picture or something?
Anyway, it's still sad a kid died. And it's sad he made cops shoot him. Shitty situation all around, and very avoidable if he hadn't charged the police.
I'm fine with this outcome. He saved the taxpayer a ton of money feeding and housing his ass, and there's no telling how many law abiding people he would have victimized in between stints in our revolving door criminal justice system.
