This was a survey, and what people were willing to admitting to. I believe 100% of those answering tempered their answers to the right to avoid feeding in to what they already know is the reality of the situation just from the fact that industry people talk to industry people.
Also, interesting that they put "left" on the right side of the chart. Wonder how this is going to get mislabeled.

Every leftist I know considers themselves a centrist or "center left" despite the fact that they gulp down every single Democrat narrative with the same fervor as a man dying of thirst who just came upon an oasis. They would never admit to being far left because they know it sounds bad, but they are.
The only people who admit to being far left are the teenage Twitter LARPers who wear leftism as an accessory because they know it's cool but don't know enough to act like normal people in public.
Is nobody going to ask "Do the Nazis think of themselves as correct when they first wake up in the morning and retain that until they sleep in the evening? Or do they purposefully overlook everything telling them what they are doing is wrong because they don't want to lose the benefits of being in the party?"
Only swap out the term "Nazis" for "Progressives" and add time zones in for the journalists spread across the world spreading the message.
"Fighting misinformation" is just how the left rebrands their assault on dissent. They can't just outright say they're fighting for the narrative, so they make euphemisms to obfuscate their actions.
It's nice how they put the left end of the spectrum on the right for easier understanding.
This has to be some sort of intentional creative decision. I see this so often and it makes me want to scream.
Same with the CBC using tildes on bar charts when a pie chart would've been appropriate.
Your western bias tends to think worse on the left, better on the right.
On a scale of 1 - 10, how would you rate (insert product or service)? 1/low/bad will be on the left, 10/high/best will be on the right.
Say what you will about leftys, they are genius when it come to subtle manipulation like that.
They'll just blindly and smugly claim reality has a liberal bias.

considering where overton window is right now, the "slightly right" ones may as well be "fairly left"

Thanks for the archive Mongoose!
Can't be having those pesky tellers of truth stealth edit on the direct links.
So many here have forgotten or never even learned why it was we started archiving. It wasn't just to starve sites of clicks and ad revenue.
The right just doesn't care about the truth, and are also uneducated buffoons, sweeties.

Let me guess: being an expert entails some sort of college degree.
You’re right- it takes at least 20 years of brainwashing by the education marxists
No, being an expert entails being an acceptable source for left-wing propagandists.

You simply got the context wrong. They are not experts in stopping 'misinformation' but experts in spreading it.
The pileup at the extreme indicates that the their questions didn't go far enough for a significant number of respondents.
Well duh. The term itself is just the newest iteration of "counter revolutionary."
No one could have predicted this. No one.
It sure does(!)
Like "conspiracy theory" being a stigmatized phrase pushed by the CIA through operation mockingbird.

You mean MissInformation. Bigot.
