Literal paid propaganda.
It was a huge moment for “the culture”. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a black r&b artist on tv before, let alone the Super Bowl halftime show.
Definitely a moment worthy of a long winded, bizarre blog post on Forbes
"Turnt" isn't a real word. Using one gibberish slang word to explain the meaning of another isn't very scholarly.
Well, at least one white writer remains at Forbes
Lil' Jon released "Kings of Crunk" in 2002, and it was widely exposed to normies on Chappelle's show in 2004. The person who wrote this article must be over 50 years old.
Oof... guilty!
Let me guess, nothing but nigger music to perfectly complement everything that American football represents?
Yeah and the commercial that followed it was the one the NFL made that took place in Ghana.
Didn't watch. Gave up years ago.
Same but the Wakanda national anthem stunt left no doubt in my mind this time around
Did they do the whole black national anthem shtick yesterday?
They did
Did they say something stupid? Didn’t watch the game
No, it was a tame and okay Usher show. But it didn't have one feature performer who wasn't black. Even the Dr. Dre show from a few years ago had Eminem.
Gotcha. Well, that’s to be expected. As Eric July says “blackity black black”. I’d love to see Metallica or Maiden
Not just black, but garbage rap or R&B. All of the sports leagues have been slowly ghettoized over the last 30 years. There have been a couple of halftime shows with some safe, old, sellout rock bands as well, but nearly all of the rest are some stupid R&B or rap.
No surprise. Any black singers or groups I’d enjoy seeing are either dead or too old. I haven’t listened to rap in years so I’m way out of date there
I’ve consistently hated R&B since the Fugees.
It isn’t music, it’s boons beatboxing and rapping to shitty Casio keyboard bleeps and beeps, and chubby black women shrieking and screaming at the top of their lungs until my ears ring. Obnoxious, cheap and zero talent required. That’s why all their best “artists” have to “sample” the music of other far more creatively talented and impressive people who came before them. Fuck R&B, fuck it up its stupid ass
He's too winded to even sing. That's called dying on stage. Then he does a stripper routine for the female audience, except this is the super bowl. Pure cringe. Not to mention Jermaine Dupri dressed in a schoolboy uniform.
It was 12 minutes long and he didn't finish a single song.
Prince is the only half time show that mattered
I didn't watch anything to do with the Super Bowl, but from everything I've heard it was about as diverse as the gorilla cage at the zoo.
"What a lubricous display!"
Wasn't like 99% of the people the same race?
Yeah it was almost entirely black. None of the featured performers were anything but black. But funny enough no one is talking about a lack of representation.
No.
I saw it on a friends phone and I was like "Oh yeah, I remember that song from 2006."
Anyways, Prince was better.
"Oh yeah, I remember that from 2006" is a pretty good summary of the entire broadcast.
