Listened to some of his 'conference vids' with other 'Fandom Menace' Breadtubers and noticed that he kept cringing when some of the other guys (e.g. Disparu) kept making expletive-filled remarks.
Either he was doing that because the algorithm trained him to be an obedient little monkey and he was internally groaning about the automatic demonetization of the video, or he was being apprehensive that it would ruin his chances to bag other has-been celebrities and Hollywoke insiders for his long-form interviews.
What are your thoughts?
The other thing that is important is that not everyone needs to be foaming at the mouth screaming about wokeness at every given turn. Yes, your Ryan Kinel's can, but they will turn off the average normie who is only starting to realize there is a constant "Message" in everything they watch.
So you show them Critical Drinker or Film Threat, who is very approachable and talks about movies they do like instead of just constantly harping on the ones they hate. Then as that starts to click and they realize there is a coordinated campaign in Hollywood, maybe they move up to the likes of Nerdrotic, Az, and Disparu (who are a bit more aggressive in calling it out, but still in a fun way). And then maybe some of them will take the next step to Ryan, and go "This situation is so out of whack we need a political change just to fight it."
Sometimes I wonder if critical drinker is hiding his power level when he does (((the message)))
Is this for real? Look - the right definitely has small issues with this as well (not anywhere near the same extent, but it does); however, the left is famous for their purity purges. There are tons of examples.
Look at even just JK Rowling. She was a flaming feminist/leftist, but she stepped out of line one time, spoke up about the importantance of "single-sex spaces" - i.e., she didn't want men pretending to be women in the women's restroom, and she was totally excommunicated. Seriously - she didn't want mtf guys in the restroom, that invalidated all her other leftist activism, and she was instantly the new
femaleuterus-haver (or whatever the stupid fucking term the left uses for normal women now) British Hitler. The left is absolutely insane when it comes to the whole, "You have to toe the line 100%, or you are a fascist/racist Hitler transphobe whatever" crap. Even Obama himself called them out on their circular firing squads.
I think it's more that 'both sides' vehemently attack and denounce to their right, while only offering mild and perfunctory condemnation of those to their left.
This still makes me laugh. J.K. Rowling should be an eye-opener to all.
But the biggest hypocrisy of the 21st century is mass immigration of Muslims to the West. Anti-religious atheists supporting the mass infiltration of a group that can only be characterized as ultra-reactionary conservative right-leaning.
This is something I've noticed with a lot of liberals I meet. They can identify that there are problems with something, but identifying the cause and/or the solution to the problem is where they go off the reservation.
I used to have this attitude until I came to the realization that these people will never leave you alone because they require an enemy to exist. Just like how a tree makes no sound if it falls alone in a forest, a tranny doesn't exist in isolation.
We should be thanking our lucky stars that our enemies are fucking moronic and arrogant enough to do shit in plain view of normies. Imagine if the globalists had half the brains of the Medici family. We would be truly fucked then.
I've noticed that anyone who hasn't completely abandoned the Left by now is almost entirely incapable of understanding 2nd order effects, let alone 3rd, 4th, etc
You would have found him annoying, though. He was constantly mentioning that he was gay and the access media were showcasing his involvement in pride parades. There was also his 'kiss' with Patrick Stewart or something.
I suspect that there is more to the story when it comes to Critical Drinker, though, since he blew up.
It must hurt for people from the British Isles to hear Americans misuse the word "bloody" in that sense.
I remember Ron Weasley said "bloody hell" about 100 times in the Hairy Pothead movies, so ever since I've imagined everyone who talks like that just inserts "bloody hell" into every conversation, no matter what the context.
They basically do. It's their "what the fuck."
Don't think so.
Chan eil thu ach albach! (jk)
The thing that turns me away from that corner of YouTube is that it has almost entirely become about trying to white pill the viewers, when they should be getting them either red or black pilled. It's like every time Disney, Netflix or Amazon make another leftoid propaganda wokefest they spin it to suggest how it's great, in the long run, because this time... THIS TIME... they are all totes going to get bankrupt. A new Ray movie coming out? Well, it's gonna finally get Kathleen Kennedy fired! I don't want these people fired or bankrupt, I want them dead.
BUT...
Everyone has to start somewhere. My gateway drug was the GG-Lite section with S0H, CRG and the like. Unless you're just a normie, looking to 'dunk on libtards', you're eventually gonna move on from those kinds of channels. And, inevitably, you're gonna fall through the rabbit hole, all the way down to Tim Pool.
I really don't understand the appeal of the Geeks and Gamers / Friday Night Tights / Nerdrotic sphere of content.
Everytime I've tried to watch it, I get bored within minutes as it's just a large panel with the host reading superchats with a soundboard.
I'm a geek and I love movies, but these YouTubers always seemed completely retarded to me. Like most internet personalities they just wanna herd their flock and make some money without having to get a real job.
I thank God I was already an adult when YouTube came out, so that kinda went over my head. But then again I have an older brother who loves all the main YouTube personalities on my country, so maybe it's about that cattle like mentality.
They're stuff on geek culture is pretty meh. Nerdrotics panel show when they were talking about aliens and supernatural and ancient architecture was a lot of fun!
lol, bit extreme?
He is a liberal that has planted his flag in 2010 and concluded going past the state of liberalism then is TOO FAR!
He is comfortable criticising feminist messaging but is silent on faggotry and anti-White messaging. And I suspect he approves of anti-Christian messaging.
But I wouldn't counter signal him on normie platforms like YouTube because he starts naive normies looking in the right direction.
To do a comparison to the old gg crowd to what they are now, Critical Drinker hasn't fallen into the hole like your Chris Ray Guns or your Armoured Skeptic but isn't far enough along to be as blacklisted as your Sargon or Arch.
He calls out shit media when he encounters it (which is pretty much majority Disney nowadays) and the reasons why they are shit (diversity hires, female empowerment etc) but doesn't want to get further into the reasons WHY they are pushed despite making the media less popular.
I can't blame him for that, I looked into it over the years and I despise humanity more, from the 'elites' pushing it to the normies ignoring it till it becomes too late. Doesn't make them 'the enemy' because they'd rather hold ground than push back fully, some people aren't your Alex Jones or even your Elon Musk and are able to take that kind of flak.
Drinker's reviews are just RLM talking points put in a blender, including the Plinkett shtick. Which is fine, it was something to listen to while doing dishes.
Then Paramount paid him (in "access" lol) to put out a glowing "review" of Picard S3 before it aired. I stopped watching after that.
I am not gonna watch this bullshit once a week as it comes out. If they finish a series, I'll watch the whole thing. that's what I did with the other lesser Treks.
I can tell you that, as a person who naturally swears worse than a sailor, you do tend to make people significantly uncomfortable; or present a completely incorrect emotional state to people who are reading the curses rather than the tone. People have thought I was furious before, when really I was just confused. ... their response made me more confused, which then fed into their fear and misunderstanding.
Anyways, swearing isn't really productive to most long-form conversations, and paints an aesthetic you might not intend; unless you are with people who also swear a similar amount as you.
