I remember someone on a sci-fi forum said that I just wanted old white meant to write stories. I said well considering they wrote good stories I’m all for it. When they can write a story that isn’t some thinly veiled lecture about race/gender/ lgbt stuff I’ll be happy to read it

Dragon Ball’s inspired untold billions of men world wide, and not one of us is an actual Saiyan. You don’t have to look like someone in a story to relate to them. If that’s what it takes for someone to relate to someone then that person isn’t someone worth relating to.

Shit, some episodes of Super were literally broadcast on the side of buildings in major cities of Mexico because they knew enough people would literally stop and watch. One video of that was so popular it inspired the soundtrack for the Broly movie to include screaming character's names when they appeared.
Dragon Ball Z (because lets be honest, that's where all the multi-demo appeal is) has literally done more for race relations coming together than probably every civil rights activist alive today combined.

I was on the fence about Tekken 8 coming up. It looks solid but they haven't changed much over the past several decades. I might support it now, though.
Not changing in this environment is good ... unless they swing that pendulum hard the other way.
There was Street fighter X Tekken but we don't speak of Capcom's dark period anymore.
My favorite was Tekken 3. Tekken Force was great and Bryan still resembled Roy Batty from Blade Runner.
I think the last one I played was on the PS3, prior to that I'd played one release for the PS2 and one for the PS1, plus dropped a few quarters at the arcade for whatever flavour of Tekken they had ... Tag, I think.
The game looks great with one glaring exception: the arcade mode uses extremely effeminate cartoony avatars that I can only describe as turbo gay. It’s so counter to the Tekken vibe and aesthetic that it’s actually inexplicable; I have no idea who approved these designs, but they need to be fired.
i am on the fence because they've actually changed alot of the game to really cater to casuals and dumbing down the skill ceiling. even moreso than season 3 & season 4 of tekken 7
