Not long ago I was unironically really hoping that blade would show up in the mcu and he would be played by snipes. But that was pre-multiverse now it's the last friggin thing I would ever want. I don't want reference-blade, feminist blade, life lesson blade, or surprise I'm a woman now blade, I want blade-blade
I can’t blame them either for saying “chicks ruined comics” or “chicks ruined video games”. Same with the facts I’ve seen plenty of black dudes into comics but if I see a black director or a female director being hyped my first thought is that they will be focused on agenda and have to prove me wrong.
You would think if you truly wanted to market to women you would make stuff that appeals to a female audience. Not feminize make stuff
You have no idea how much more I enjoy spending $80 on a skein of yarn, and having a tangible item when I'm done knitting or crocheting. Yes, I have a hobby that isn't all digital nothing now. I learned skills. My Vita sits in its bag. My kids don't ask me to play anymore.
I learmed crochet as a child, and knitting as an adult. I would suggest that order because once you get good at crochet at have crochet habits you hold the yarn with your left hand. This is called knitting continental, and even in my first knitting class I was faster than long time knitters.
Speed isn't everything. But, because of my speed I'm more willing to work with lace weight yarn. What others mix up and call string.
I learned the skill of cooking in high school. Took Home Ec to meet girls and ended up actually enjoying the class and being the teachers pet because I was cooking like crazy
Women are average, its hardcoded into their chromosomes to be far more alike one another than men could ever be. Its why males are disposable at a biological level, wildly mutagenic to try and find what works while the female stays at the tried and true successes (of biology).
Its absolutely YesAllWomen more than it ever was even a hundred men.
Aspirational versus representative. Boys want to be like the hero. Girls want the hero to be like them.
The calls for representation are inherently feminine. Black boys still idolize white Batman. Little girls don’t connect with Batman because he’s not a little girl.
In the early 2000's LEGO did a large test, thousands of kids. That's where a lot of the 'girls project themselves onto the characters (mini figures)' and boys 'become the character, batman, etc' When LEGO employee activists felt that the wrong sort of people were referencing that study, they buried it. Doubling down on the 'boys and girls are exactly the same' rhetoric.
But it makes sense. Growing up my friend and I would play with GI Joes and would have battles. His sister would interject herself and his mom made us let her play so of course the GI Joes became husbands of Barbie. What annoys me is that using that data they can make stuff for women. Well I guess it does make sense when you see how feminists have turned characters into their avatars
There is nothing wrong with slice of life but you gotta know your dang audience. When I stopped buying modern marvel it literally turned into women drinking coffee talking about feelings. I read the older comics now and the last new comic I bought was Rippaverse
Sad thing is this is a movie women were never going to pay to see on their own. The only way my GF would see any of the Blade movies is if I took her (and paid).
I'm not paying $100 to go out and see a movie focusing on strong independent feminist Blade.
Really good in Green Book too, which is a somewhat balanced take on racism that doesn't make white people out to be evil and instead encourages compromise and empathy from both blacks and whites. It's not perfect, but Ali was great in it.
Forgot he was in that, he gets sidelined once his future sprog arrives in the second season or whatever and she takes a leading role, antagonistic as it is.
He's smart to not to get attached to this, Ben Afleck suffered for doing Daredevil when he was announced as Batman even though he turned out to be good. Accepting roles with terrible scripts is a stigma that follows you even though it isn't fully your fault.
Irony being that I can think of no genre or character type more thoroughly owned and created by women for women than fucking vampires. Blade might be one of the few times it ever didn't feel like porn for women in a century.
Hopefully this means it's death is coming soon and we can all move on with our lives instead of tolerating Disney's yassified Blade.
Besides, they should've done it 10 years ago, when Michael Jai White was in his 40s. I can't think of a person more suited to carry the mantle of Blade.
If it's not Wesley Snipes it's not Blade. If they fuck it up, fuck them. Just sell the franchise to Wesley Snipes.

Don't forget one of the worst offenders: AnYoNe CaN bE bLaDe
John Rocker as Blade when?
Never could have worked. The og my son sent me didn't bleep.

That’s so funny!!
I liked it too. If Disney makes Blade it'll be boycotted. They need to sell their franchises.
Best they can do is 'Put a chick in it, make it lame & gay!'
South Park may be late, but they are not wrong.
Not even this chick wants that. BIPOC rules ruined everything, they need to be removed.
"The best I can do is Wesley Snipes as Noxeema Jackson as Blade." -Disney
women ruining everything
I’ve seen legit female fans but they want to fill every IP. with activist females

Video games ruined video games. I used to play.
I actually want to learn how to knit and crochet. Not bad skills to have
I learmed crochet as a child, and knitting as an adult. I would suggest that order because once you get good at crochet at have crochet habits you hold the yarn with your left hand. This is called knitting continental, and even in my first knitting class I was faster than long time knitters.

Women change material to fit them, whereas men learn everything about the material to become the character.
Aspirational versus representative. Boys want to be like the hero. Girls want the hero to be like them.

I remember reading an essay saying the same thing with boys and girls and toys

Yeah it's why all of the Marvel slop (in comics too) has turned into self inserts and slice of life. Not actual stories or adventures.
Disney bought Star Wars because they wanted boy audience / money, but they are so retarded once they owned it, they started making it a girl's brand.
There is nothing wrong with slice of life but you gotta know your dang audience. When I stopped buying modern marvel it literally turned into women drinking coffee talking about feelings. I read the older comics now and the last new comic I bought was Rippaverse

I am a woman, and it's an all time favorite. Wesley Snipes is awesome.
Yeah he's actually a pretty talented actor. Really enjoyed him in True Detective.
Really good in Green Book too, which is a somewhat balanced take on racism that doesn't make white people out to be evil and instead encourages compromise and empathy from both blacks and whites. It's not perfect, but Ali was great in it.
FYI it was proven he was only hired because from certain angles he looks like Wesley Snipes. My son showed me the tiktok on his phone.
Forgot he was in that, he gets sidelined once his future sprog arrives in the second season or whatever and she takes a leading role, antagonistic as it is.
He came across as one of the most unremarkable actors in that show and he still does. ;)
He's smart to not to get attached to this, Ben Afleck suffered for doing Daredevil when he was announced as Batman even though he turned out to be good. Accepting roles with terrible scripts is a stigma that follows you even though it isn't fully your fault.
FirstTime.meme? You would have to have just awoken from a 10 year coma not to have seen that multiple times already.
Can't wait for the new strong heroines to kick the vampire patriarchy's ass and show manchild Blade how it's done with sassy empowered put downs!
Of course, WHEN it bombs at the box office, it will be my fault as a cis white shitlord for being toxic and not supporting women.
Irony being that I can think of no genre or character type more thoroughly owned and created by women for women than fucking vampires. Blade might be one of the few times it ever didn't feel like porn for women in a century.
Well of course! Who would be to blame? Certainly not the women they're pandering to who don't go see action movies!
so it's still this?
I can’t wait trash film to release. This and the Fem-vels will just be burning money at this point.
Hopefully this means it's death is coming soon and we can all move on with our lives instead of tolerating Disney's yassified Blade.
