In the early 2000's LEGO did a large test, thousands of kids. That's where a lot of the 'girls project themselves onto the characters (mini figures)' and boys 'become the character, batman, etc' When LEGO employee activists felt that the wrong sort of people were referencing that study, they buried it. Doubling down on the 'boys and girls are exactly the same' rhetoric.
But it makes sense. Growing up my friend and I would play with GI Joes and would have battles. His sister would interject herself and his mom made us let her play so of course the GI Joes became husbands of Barbie. What annoys me is that using that data they can make stuff for women. Well I guess it does make sense when you see how feminists have turned characters into their avatars
There is nothing wrong with slice of life but you gotta know your dang audience. When I stopped buying modern marvel it literally turned into women drinking coffee talking about feelings. I read the older comics now and the last new comic I bought was Rippaverse

Yeah it's why all of the Marvel slop (in comics too) has turned into self inserts and slice of life. Not actual stories or adventures.
Disney bought Star Wars because they wanted boy audience / money, but they are so retarded once they owned it, they started making it a girl's brand.
