I can’t blame them either for saying “chicks ruined comics” or “chicks ruined video games”. Same with the facts I’ve seen plenty of black dudes into comics but if I see a black director or a female director being hyped my first thought is that they will be focused on agenda and have to prove me wrong.

You have no idea how much more I enjoy spending $80 on a skein of yarn, and having a tangible item when I'm done knitting or crocheting. Yes, I have a hobby that isn't all digital nothing now. I learned skills. My Vita sits in its bag. My kids don't ask me to play anymore.
I learmed crochet as a child, and knitting as an adult. I would suggest that order because once you get good at crochet at have crochet habits you hold the yarn with your left hand. This is called knitting continental, and even in my first knitting class I was faster than long time knitters.
Speed isn't everything. But, because of my speed I'm more willing to work with lace weight yarn. What others mix up and call string.
I learned the skill of cooking in high school. Took Home Ec to meet girls and ended up actually enjoying the class and being the teachers pet because I was cooking like crazy
