As far as I can tell, the NSA is the good cop in the relationship. So while they are quiet, if anyone stepped out of line they'd just be fired. I suppose what the NSA has to hide, I don't know, but it doesn't seem like much. It goes one of two ways. Either what you describe, or more often you get righteous rage at watching infidelities unfold and being unable to do anything but watch it happen.
I've always theorized that half the glowniggers we see are not actually on the clock doing cointelpro, they're really our "good guy on the inside."
