And appointing the ex-chair of the Federal Reserve to the position of Secretary of the Treasury is still one of the most blatantly clownworld appointments this regime has done, and that's amazing considering all the trannies, gays, and other weirdos that they've been appointing.
EDIT: Oh, completely unrelated, but absolutely fuck Merrick Garland too, that piece of shit.
We should probably just acknowledge that all bank deposits and deposits into money market funds are going to be fully insured by the government.
Yeah it's a bunch of bullshit, but it's way less bullshit to declare it upfront than pretending they aren't and then inevitably bailing them out when they fail. Acknowledge it, set up the fee structures accordingly, and move on.
The alternative is to actually follow the law. But if that were possible we would be doing it already, but we don't. So now what?
It's all monopoly money anyways, so why pretend it isn't?
Though if I put that aside I do believe things like insured cash sweep (which splits deposits into < $250k chunks and deposits them into a bunch of banks) is better from a risk management standpoint for both the depositor and the bank. Depositors get more guaranteed insurance, and the bank gets more depositors with smaller deposits for a given amount of overall deposit.
Here's a simple solution that I'm not sure why it's not already the standard: any bank that, in the assessment of the FDIC, would trigger a systemic failure of the banking system were it to collapse needs to insure all it's accounts.
I remember people being bored to tears when I would discuss the Fed and fiat currency. I gave up hoping that people would open their eyes to what the fed does
Yeah but this thing is chess. I read Jared Taylor articles for years and thought "OK I see where he's going but I'm not quite there". Then 2020 happened, and I'm thanking God for men like Jared Taylor.
She does, very well. She just can't come out and state her true intentions.
It's not incompetence that they only protect their own banks and not banks in red states. They WANT all money in banks that they own or control.
Meanwhile the right is content with foolishly laughing at the left "for being incompetent". You are being played. This is not a "gotem" moment. They crush your banks and make off with your money.
When the cameras are off, she and her ilk literally laugh all the way to the bank while the right foolishly feels smug all the way to the poor house.
You think it's incompetence that they only protect banks in blue states? That they only protect depositors who vote Dem and donate to them? That they send money to banks that they run? That they pick and choose winners so they profit and others get punished?
Also worth mentioning that I think they only bail out those with the largest accounts at the bank. So they fuck over small businesses and other lesser clientele as well.
The smaller accounts are already fully insured. The actual problem is that the Democrats are letting the Democrats at a Democrat-run bank raid the rainy day fund, when that money is supposed to be to cover the first $250k of other people's accounts.
As expected, the "conservatives" on reddit were all praising this bailout (but don't call it a bailout) because otherwise some businesses couldn't make payroll.
Like I give a fuck. If you're willing to use that as your reasoning, you can apply it to every single bank that gets in trouble.
Blue banks are getting bailed out, period, doesn't matter what the circumstances are. SVB & Signature were in deep blue areas. That's why they got bailed out.
Red banks are going to get told to go fuck themselves.
Literally everything about this administration is partisan, which is why they didn't give a shit about the East Palestine, Ohio disaster: it was a red area. 71% Trump in 2020. The entire Biden admin is an extremist partisan left wing operation, hiding behind a doddering old hair sniffer.
Fucking gremlin.

I, for one, am very glad he's not on SCOTUS. Not that he'd be in bad company with the other lunatic low-IQ leftists on the bench...
Oh, for sure! Talk about a bullet dodged!
Hell, he would be the first troon justice.
Jesus, why the fuck is this doddering grandma being rehired for any job? She is barely capable of physically finishing sentences.

I think you’re right.
Ideally no bank should get a bailout when it fucks up. But that’s not the government we will ever have.
The only choice we have is : do we want megabanks decimating smaller banks?
It's all monopoly money anyways, so why pretend it isn't?

The FDIC would be bribed to make wrong assessments.
Great. Still benefits them. More bribes for the FDIC and less money banks control

I know exactly what you mean. A lot of these sorts of discussions are "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink".
At some point you have to realize that these people don’t want to know the truth. I’d wager only 10% of the population even values truth at all.

Exactly
they're sending their best.
Nah, this one's a jewess, she should know her way around money.
She does, very well. She just can't come out and state her true intentions.

Then, sorry to say, YOU are the fool, not them.
no, i fully embrace that this is malice.
She knows. She just doesn't care.
Yea, make no mistake, they know what they're doing. It's not incompetence. They've set up the system in a way that they profit from it.
Even 'doesn't care' was way too charitable on my part.

I hate to say it but we really need a mutation of COVID that just totally wipes out anyone over 65.
We need a hard reset to get rid of this generation, these people are beginning to cause some serious problems.
Have you never met any 25 year olds?
These old, corrupt farts only want money and power. The indoctrinated younger ones are actually crazy and much more of a threat.
How about a COVID variant that primarily targets leftists and their mentally-enslaved normie allies? Perhaps one that they opt into?
Holy shit she is dumber than a rock.
Let me break it down clearly:
Blue banks are getting bailed out, period, doesn't matter what the circumstances are. SVB & Signature were in deep blue areas. That's why they got bailed out.
Red banks are going to get told to go fuck themselves.
