So I know the writing was already on the wall when Scott Backula declined to join the production, and the new cast included no white men (except the trans mtf), and of course the smartest person in the room is invariably a trans.
Well, call me stupid but I loved the original and the new one came on a few weeks ago while I was staying at a hotel, so I actually got somewhat into it.
Started watching the entire season, which isn't finished yet, and the latest episode I finally get to watch is chock full of trans everything.
The guy leaps into the dad/coach of a trans kid on a girls' basketball team, one of the suspects in present day is a trans poet, there are multiple drawn out scenes where the main trans character has a heart-to-heart about how everybody who is trans tries to commit suicide, despite the obvious knowledge that before the trans trend, very few kids were committing suicide, and that the child suicide rate actually increased as trans became more popular.
And the biggest part that made me turn it off, is that they framed the episode as though the parents are bigots for wanting a biological male off the court of a girls' basketball team, even after it's made clear that bringing him into the game completely changed how it was going and they quickly won the game because of him.
They're not even pretending not to preach anymore. New television is a f'n struggle session now.
I can't even watch tv.
As a side note, has anybody noticed that most trans on tv are mtf. I don't think I recall seeing a ftm on television.
Digital books are already being edited,
https://archive.vn/KAJlT
Expect the same to happen to any other media anywhere near a web connection.
It already happened with Disney+ censoring Back to the Future and painting hair over butts in Splash.
Decades ago I started maintaining my own file server with ripped TV and movies. Netflix was just spinning up it's streaming service and most people who knew what I was doing told me I was straight up dumb. I might have jumped the gun by quite a few years but I don't regret it at all.
They did WHAT to Back to the Future?!
One of the reasons I so love those movies is because they don't lie about the prejudices of 1955.
"A colored mayor? That'll be the day..."
They censored out racism in 1955?
But that fit for 1955. And he ended up being mayor.
I know, I was quoting the movie.
I wanted to learn what censorship was done to my favorite movie trilogy ever.
But I’ve actually Heard a woke Gen z person whining about that line. I was thinking that it perfectly fits for the movie and he proved them wrong so that should be a good thing.
I love 50s rock and to this day everytime I hear Johnny B Goode I think of the movie
Yeah this is why you need to have physical media whenever possible, or save electronic media locally unencrypted on devices. That way they can't take it away from you or alter it.
VHS has a relatively short shelf life. Strongly recommend ripping them to discs of some kind.
Yeah, but even if stored well, magnetic tape isn't nearly as stable as a disc.
They have those archival DVDs. I dunno if they work. Otherwise, I think CD-Rs are bad, but pressed CDs will last forever.
Take control of your ebook collection.
https://calibre-ebook.com/
Even allows for circumventing of Amazon DRM.
I have calibre but could never get the DRM bypass to work. Have you gotten it to work?
The way I have it set up works using two plugins and the Kindle's serial number.
Need to install DeDRM plugin: https://github.com/apprenticeharper/DeDRM_tools/releases/tag/v7.2.1
Configure that with your Kindle's serial number and install the plugin KFX Input, which you can install from inside Calibre itself for the automatic processing of the ebook DRM.
Then I usually convert the azw3 file to a EPUB automatically with KFX. Just go into your amazon digital content section and under 'more actions' select 'download and transfer via USB.' Drag and drop the file into Calibre, or from the Add Books screen, and it should automatically process the book into whatever file format you want with KFX Input.
In the process of writing up the instructions for you I noticed that Amazon recently change their 'download and transfer via USB' function to not work for Kindle Unlimited, which was a big reason I used that subscription service. It still works for content you have purchased it seems. A bit annoying but I have downloaded almost 500 books from the Kindle Unlimited for only about $60 total.
If you don't have a Kindle you can do the same using the Kindle reader for PC, but you need to download the specific version 1.17 from other sources as the newer versions don't give you the awz3 files directly. Then just drop in the ebook file to Calibre like above.
Hope that helps.
Thank you!

It had to be said...
I know someone who claims to have smoked a lot of crack with Scott Bakula. Apparently he's into teenage boys.
DOES NOT COMPUTE
Logic is more often used in reverse. People do and say what they want then look for a reason for it.
In this case, they've redefined "woman."
"Trannies are all autistic" isn't new information
I love pre diversity rules BBC. People have recommended to me Japanese or Korean entertainment.
A show taking place in a large city in America having a diverse cast would make sense but the problem is they make everything diverse regardless if it makes sense so a show that takes place in a small town in 1920s Wisconsin looks like modern day New York City
Actors and writers make the show but I get your preference. I do plan on watching Asian programming outside of anime. And I have a lot of old bbc shows on my list to watch. I’ve enjoyed plenty of all white shows or plenty of all Asian movies. I never understood the people who have a fit because they see white people in a tv show in a majority white country.
True. Asian shows don’t have the hatred of beauty that the west does
Being such a degenerate coomer you cut your dick off and chase "cummies" into an early grave is not "extremely high IQ" behavior.
The most I've seen is trannies with an above avg IQ. Autism is the new ADD of "something is off" and colloquially runs the gamut from "retarded" to "socially awkward" to "intelligent".
From that nitter link:
For a scientist, he still seems to have a problem connecting the dots. How much longer will we have to go on with people trying to qualify their positions with "I'm still a good guy!", and acting like this isn't all directly because of trying to be "allies" with these "people"?
I watched the original and I already have a general rule of thumb and avoid most shows made after 2014 but the fact they mentioned a cast member being non binary I figured this was coming. Also annoying that there is massive overrepresentation of lgbt already and the trans overrepresentation is like 200%.
Has she been in a show since her transition?
Pretty sure they rewrote umbrella academy just to make her a man in the third season and retcon the others
I suppose I am preaching to the choir, but wouldn't it make more sense to keep the character the same sex and then just dress up the actor accordingly? Why does the actor's transition change the character as well?
I watched about 5 minutes of the first episode and did not like.
Yeah I've been cringe-watching this, I meant to post here about it when I saw that tranny ep- it was just ungodly awful and painful moralizing.
I feel you. I've been watching the Last of Us.
As soon as any TV show I watch besides a news show mentions a gender person in any way, I immediately cut it off for good. No exceptions. If they ever have a transgender bootlegger on Moonshiners I don't know what I'm going to do.
News shows should just be cut off to begin with.
It's not struggle session if you don't fight it, comrade. Just lie back and enjoy.
Show had a focus of more than two people. Knew it was a failure right then.
The original series isn’t progressive enough I guess. I know he leaped back into civil rights times and females for girl power. To be fair in the 80s and 90s growing up I wasn’t bombarded constantly about race or female empowerment so I didn’t mind so much. Now I could go the rest of my life without hearing about race (unless it was a legit honest discussion) and be happy. Same with girl power and lgbt
If you're not avoiding politics entirely, those are reasonable milestones to go back to.
I remember someone touting the black Panther movie as the first real black superhero movie and they said Blade didn’t do enough. So you are right. It’s never enough.
Blade was so much better than Black Panther. It did what it needed to. Be entertaining.
Exactly
At least Black Panther had one awesome line in it, one that real world leaders need to take to heart.
"I am not the king of the world. I am the king of Wakanda."
Rest in peace, Chadwick.
I would give the first Black Panther movie a 7/10. My major annoyance was the massive overhyping and acting like this was the first movie with black ppl. I got Black Panther comics going back to the 70s and him with the avengers. I can only imagine what his comics are like now considering the people that write them now.
But I’d say a preachy episode every now and then didn’t register with us because it wasn’t in everything. A lot of 80s and 90s sitcoms had the “very special episode” that addressed different things. I don’t mind hearing a lesson or a moral but today we are beat down with just one point of view.
I swear this sounds like costume reuse. Or even cheap actors in the form of re-enactors.
i don't remember the civil war episode, but wasn't the premise that he can only leap into people who existed within his own life time?
