Remember that none of these had anything to do with KSP1.
TakeTwo bought the rights from the original Devs and gave the IP to Uber Entertainment (previously known for their Kickstarter disappointments), then fired them all and rehired the diversity dregs to form Intercept Games.
The megacorps don't have to produce anything good, they can just buy and corrupt all things that bring joy until you have no other options.
Yea Kerbal updates past that were dogshit. Broke mods and forced all kinds of metric garbage.
You can Mod Legacy Kerbal into a much better game.
Literally the only thing that KSP2 needed was stability and optimization. KSP1 absolutely disintegrates with lots of mods, hell, you need like 64gb of RAM just to load the damn game because of how trash Unity is with lots of part and solar system mods.
Instead it sounds like KSP2 has A) Insane requirements, and B) Even with the requirements (which is like the highest-end cards) it still runs like utter shit and rockets of 50+ parts drive the FPS to single digits and then explode for no reason.
I feel like Unity is not the right platform for a game like that.
I feel like Unity is not the right platform for any good game.
Unity can be an excellent engine for games. However it gets abused a lot by "beginner" game devs because it is an free engine. Unreal engine can run like absolute dogshit if I do not optimize my code or keep renderering invisible stuff
Unity is literally only for small indie projects. There's a reason no "major" game uses it. Should've been Unreal.
Just wait until the troons are able to identify as minors. Then they won't have to go through the farce of "transitioning" to be able to touch children.
That is not that far off, that dude Dilan or something that got to see Biden identifies as a girl because he has not been a woman for long enough to identify as a woman.
Slippery sloop fallacy was a psyop.
You say that but perhaps you don't remember the press coverage of the 50 year old dude who identifies as Stefonknee a 6 year old girl.
Already happened. At least twice.
Why does a tiny ass team of 40 people need a community manager? Really shows where the priorities lie, and that they don't trust dudes they are clearly close with to interact with their own fans.
Faggot Inc. commissars.
Is that really the prereq, though? It seems like only job responsibility most community managers have these days is to say whatever the current woke retarded thing is.
At that point, why even have one then? You don't need open and constant interaction with your fans if "staying on task" is under threat by them socializing minorly.
Like, responding to a random tweet on your offtime shouldn't be a threat to your work and if it is, the workplace has bigger problems.
I'm not sure but I think community managers also organize events, press releases, interact with media for interviews, etc.
That's not a community manager, that's a marketing person.
Ew.
Sony Santa Monica is worse.
Could someone please at least get it some basic grammar lessons, the correct object pronoun is them.
Dev team photos are the new Early Life.
Game is a glorified demo for 50 bucks. I hope someone like 21kiloton or someone else will make a video on this farce. All I can say is look at the EULA, it's reforged all over again but probably worse a bit.
Someone pointed out that the EULA literally says TakeTwo can and will completely dox you if they want.
They got points in it that you do not own any mods you make, if you do something against the EULA there's no jury but arbitration and it's supposedly also only in NY law so if you live in Michigan you gotta abide by NY law. You may also not sue them in court or something, I am no expert in legal issues though.
Heck, they even have the right to ANY design you make inside of the game without giving you any credit whatsoever. TBF: they added the same thing to the first and imho any EULA is non legally binding if I don't live in the US(and even there some isn't) but it's still a shitty thing to do. This all smells like take 2.
Has the 'we own the mods' ever even been tested in court? I seriously can't imagine it would stand up. If I write a .json file, a company can't just own my intellectual property because when dropped into a certain folder it magically is read by their game to do stuff, so therefore, they then own it.
If you ever find out I would love to know. I have not heard of anything like that nor do I believe it would work in front of an unbiased court and a non boomer judge.
The only thing I could think would be derivative works like the KSP mod that updates/improves all the models and skins. Aside from that it'd be like saying that if I design a wheel hub that fits on a Toyota Camry, Toyota therefore owns it. Which is insane, that doesn't work like that.
The mixed reviews have nothing to do with woke content in the game. It's because the game runs like shit. That said, the team behind ksp2 are imposters, so... yeah. I kinda lost all interest in ksp when the devs sold out like trashy whores.
The game runs like crap because the developers are woke, not skilled.
Ive this fucking game on my wishlist for 3 years now this shit?!?!
You know the scene from Return of the Jedi where the two dudes are hugging and crying after Luke kills the Rancor? That's us right now.
Early access, reviews are due to bugs, stability issues and lack of content.
As much as I'd love to rag on it because it has one of "those" on its team, it's a bit unfair. Games basically a beta.
Early access isn't a good excuse to sell a broken game for $50.
It isn't, but they have at least given it the title of early access instead of just releasing a completely broken game. Like Many 'AAA' companies do nowadays.
One of my buddies was playing this and apparently the biggest issue aside from the lack of optimization and physics not working as intended is the unoriginality. If you've ever played the game "Astroneer" then you've played this.
Isn't Atroneer a copy of No Man's Sky? KSP 2 from what I can see is at this point, brokenness aside, literally just a reskin of KSP 1 with parts from the Near Future mod.
