Someone pointed out that the EULA literally says TakeTwo can and will completely dox you if they want.
They got points in it that you do not own any mods you make, if you do something against the EULA there's no jury but arbitration and it's supposedly also only in NY law so if you live in Michigan you gotta abide by NY law. You may also not sue them in court or something, I am no expert in legal issues though.
Heck, they even have the right to ANY design you make inside of the game without giving you any credit whatsoever. TBF: they added the same thing to the first and imho any EULA is non legally binding if I don't live in the US(and even there some isn't) but it's still a shitty thing to do. This all smells like take 2.
Has the 'we own the mods' ever even been tested in court? I seriously can't imagine it would stand up. If I write a .json file, a company can't just own my intellectual property because when dropped into a certain folder it magically is read by their game to do stuff, so therefore, they then own it.
If you ever find out I would love to know. I have not heard of anything like that nor do I believe it would work in front of an unbiased court and a non boomer judge.
The only thing I could think would be derivative works like the KSP mod that updates/improves all the models and skins. Aside from that it'd be like saying that if I design a wheel hub that fits on a Toyota Camry, Toyota therefore owns it. Which is insane, that doesn't work like that.
