It's pretty wild what happened, he literally stands up, walks a couple steps and then stiff as a board just drops. I love how every person around me started freaking out and going "I've never seen this happen before?!?" like there haven't been athletes straight up just dropping for the last year or two.

Has it happened much in American football? Soccer guys have been dying a lot but it's a lot more non-stop running and physical exertion.

What I'd like to know if this winds up being the turning point for fat, burger munching sportsball quarterbacks in their dens to wake up and realize what their government has inflicted on them.

Lmao as if that will ever happen. People would need to start dropping like flies.

Give it another year and they'll say, "This just happens all the time, why is this such an issue to you? Sudden Death is just part & parcel to living in a big city, I mean, doing the sports."

A 24 year old athlete at that. If he dies he will be the second NFL player in modern history, the first happening in 1971…

It's not impossible if he actually got hit in the chest. It's very rare, but it does happen. It's called Commotio Cordis. I don't even know if we've hit 1000 confirmed cases in the US since we started counting sometime in the 90s, so make your own judgement, but it's not made up. It has all the same risk factors: Mostly men, worse for younger and more athletic men, and more likely when they're physically active. You don't actually have to be hit hard, it's just when your heart is working hard enough and you get hit in the right spot at a specific moment in the heartbeat.

It happened to a classmate in middle school. It only took a tennis ball flung from a lacrosse stick by a scrawny teen boy to do it. Luckily for him, one of the PE teachers knew CPR, and our school was practically next door to both a fire department and an urgent care with an ambulance service, so he was one of the few to survive it. Scared the shit out of the parents though and the whole district put down its lacrosse fad that year.

It’s so rare that the only case before today for the NFL was in 1971 with someone who had carotid artery blockage before the incident.

This.

I remember reading about something like this - a good while back - happening to a boy playing baseball with his friends, Basically, the ball struck him in the perfect place in the chest, at the perfect time, and his heart stopped. It was so weird, that I've never forgotten about it.

Here - I went and found an article that is probably what I remember.

So, anyhow, I believe there is a lot of weirdness with regards to the vaccine, and injuries being caused by it (I'm not all in on the, "It's a conspiracy to depopulate the world!" stuff, though...), and it could even be a contributing factor here, but the evidence just seems to line up with what this guy said - it just seems like this was one of those perfectly timed impacts to the heart.

Maybe, but OTOH it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of these guys bought fake cards or just bribed the nurse to inject the trash can and sign the card. I think there was a basketball player who got caught: I doubt he was the only one.

If you make millions and want to eliminate any possibility of an injury that keeps you from continuing to make that money, it's a trivial matter to simply give $1000 cash to a nurse who may also be a fan.

And that's before you consider race and vaccination rates.

Very correct. I think we haven't seen as many cases in the NBA and NFL as other leagues worldwide is because fake cards abound here. Antonio Brown had someone come out and say they created a fake card for him because he wronged them somehow. I'm sure many guys are the same. Also the fact that Hamlin is still alive makes me dubious of the coninc people rushing to say this is vaxx related.

Yeah these guys regularly get DUIs and weapons charges swept under the rug like they're nothing. I don't think they're above finding a sympathetic nurse who has some credit card debt she'd like to be able to pay off while "helping the team" at the same time.

Edit: the ConInc guys ineffectively addressed the whole "don't want to get vaccinated but someone says I have to" issue by going to the hospital for a vaccination appointment, signing the consent form, then being photographed getting injected while wearing a handwritten note that says "I do not consent". They think in these terms because they're incapable of this sort of "creative" problem solving.

Out of every hit I've seen, including the ones that left dudes' unconscious, seizing, and/or paralyzed from the neck down, I'd say that that hit wasn't close to being that hard.

The most dangerous boxing punches are the ones that are so short and fast you don't see them coming, not the big looping haymakers.

But Higgins put his shoulder into his chest. And it looked like he tried to truck him. It's possible. I'm not gonna rule out either. But you seem to be dismissing commotio Cordes out-of-hand.

You would think, with the hundreds of thousands or millions of NFL tackles over the years, that it would have happened before.

Everyone with a Ukrainian flag is saying we cannot speculate.

These exact same people reported gunshot victims as Covid.

Edit: big tech is banning people who ask if this was partly due to the vaccine.

But reddit encourages and glorifies subreddits that mock unvaccinated who die :

The mental gymnastics all over reddit to try and deflect from the vax are pretty pathetic. While it could totally be something else, it isnt really deniable at this point that the vax is linked to heart issues.

That would make more sense if he wasn't wearing a helmet when he got hit with a mild tackle.

Helmets don't really do a good job preventing concussions. They are meant to protect from skull fractures. Which was how a lot of football players used to die, before Teddy Roosevelt mandated helmets.

People with a history of repeated concussions? I could definitely still see them dropping like that, helmet or no, mild tackle or no...

I'm not sure of his concussion history specifically, though...

Apparently the call had to be made by the NY head office so I'm sure there was a delay trying to figure out just how bad he was hurt and if its bad enough to justify postponing a game right before the playoffs and taking a pretty big hit in ad dollars and the stadium having to toss all that food.
