Reddit has always the White Knights Templar for Greta "Fetal Alcohol Syndrome" Thunberg. They were her sycophants because that was the message the mainstream media was pushing. There might have been some open mockery of her, but that was quickly quelled by the admins and moderators.
Teenagers who whine about racism, sexism, or climate change are heroic for some reason. Oh yea, posting on social media about trans rights makes you a hero as well I guess.

I only ever lurked on Reddit thanks to when Gamergate originally started, there were TONS of white knights surrounding a small, vanishing island of 'normal' people.
I'm still surprised Greta's on their radar as she's too old for the admins nowadays or is it just the hate boner for Andrew Tate overrides everything else?

There was an incident several years ago, I think when she was 17, where some oil trucker created a salacious silhouette of her. You know how some truckers drive around with these? You know how truckers are known for occasionally having explicit decals because they are typically blue-collar, male, boomers, who prize having an attitude?
Well, someone in the oil industry made this.
And when that happened, all hell broke loose. For a week or so, the media started screaming at the top of their heads that this product depicted child rape and started screaming for criminal charges. Reddit agreed. People were getting yeeted for posting that pick on Reddit for "sexualizing minors".
Even under very strict scrutiny that image is barely NSFW. It's PG-13 level stuff. Salacious, sure. But the figure doesn't even have a face, she was 17 at the time, and this is merely an inexplicit artistic satire. There's a lot of hentai, lolicon, and furry art on Reddit that's much more seriously questionable than that. But, because it was the Goddess Greta, the Jannysaries went fucking ballistic.
Reddit on the whole has been pozzed (bar a handful of small sub that are generally for containment) for at least half a decade, and the signs were there for at least a full decade.
