I was raised on leftism, taught leftism all my life, had it blasted in my face through every screen and speaker. Then they told me the old leftism simply wasn't left enough.
For some, they were boiling the frog at the right speed. For me, they were doing it too fast.
Accelerationism is the key. Provoke the left to accelerate. It will destroy them.
My final straw for rejecting the regressive left entirely was getting called ableist for using the word "retard" while asking a question about a post I did not understand.
Creator of sinfest. A long running newspaper style online comic. In the early days it was funny and sexy and cute, and became quite popular. Then in 2011 about 10 years into it's run, the author became incredibly feminist, ripped all the fun and sexiness out of the comic, and attacked anyone who disagreed. Later it became clear that he was a TERF further limiting his audience.
The sidelining of TERFs over the past two years or so has allowed him to pivot away from preaching about the evils of the patriarchy and toxic masculinity and actually become irreverent and funny again.
Whether he's realized the grim future that wokeness holds for artists, or is just butthurt that his particular brand of wokeness is getting cast out remains to be seen.
I seem to remember around 2011 he got into a new relationship(according to the message board for his site at the time.) People were fussing about the sudden swing of the comic and i quit going to it. Maybe that ended and he's returning to reality.
Yeah, you can dress yourself up in the most basic and meaningless "based right wing trappings" (NPCs? Yes Chad? Fucking really?) but TERFS are not our friends, they're only anti regime insofar as they don't like having to play second fiddle after all these decades.
The enemy of my enemy can still be my enemy. The Taliban and ISIS want to kill each other, that doesn't mean one of them is magically my friend. They're both still my enemy.
Taliban is still better than ISIS. ISIS is an actual CIA operation made to be crazy . . Taliban is a bit more reasonable because they are a more legitimate group.

The thing is, TERF can be a gateway drug to more reasonable positions. By repudiating them and anathematizing them, you may make yourself feel good, but it's not doing much good in the outside world.
