Good, I can look for movies with the lowest score in that.

That’s exactly what I was thinking too.

My god, they're still beating this decomposed horse about "representation."

"Portrayals in media"? WTF?!?!?!?

Fiction and drama are intended to remove one's attention AWAY from oneself, to experience the world through literally different points of view and characters.

What fucking narcissists, other than the preening cunts who came up with this idea, need to see themselves in their entertainments? Troons and fags who need to believe the rest of the word is either just like them or loves them unconditionally? Black people obsessed with themselves who need the white oppressor to feel alive? People so alienated from their families and neighbors they need to construct solipsistic fantasy worlds where they're always the hero? It's childish.

"Oh, if it;s not about me or someone who looks like me, I'm not interested."

FUCK YOU!

I have never believed this lie, "research" notwithstanding.

I love asking 20 something black people who can’t shut up about oppression what specific oppression they experienced. They are usually from middle class to wealthy upbringing. Or if I really want an argument I can ask why they can’t shut up about things they never experienced or why they don’t support organizations that work to free slaves today.

That's because they're repeating what they've been told in school.

Those whose egos are damaged because they don't see people who look like themselves on TV are in deep doo-doo.

Yea. When I was still on Reddit a lot in some of the nerd subreddits I’d get downvoted to oblivion for saying that you have issues if everything you watch has to represent you.

r/characterrant in a nutshell. They constantly complain about shonen comics not having "strong" female characters but get pissed when anyone points out that isnt the demographics and there are plenty of women centric genres

CommonSense media is trash. It promotes nothing but progressive garbage, and criticizes any film that promotes tradition or anything resembling it.

I used to use it to help select movies for our kids, but one too many MAJOR things slipped through because of them.

They gave a summary of Leave it to Beaver and made some sort of insult about it

For example, the movie The Mitchells vs the Machines centers around an openly LGBT character... whereas CSM brushes it off like it's absolutely nothing.

Under its Sex, Nudity, and Romance section on the film (stating "None"), it says

Married adults hug affectionately. Katie chats with her classmate Jade; it's later said that they're dating

That's it. Jade could be a boy's name or a girl's name. But in the movie the mom asks "Are you and Jade official? Will you be bringing her home for Thanksgiving?"

That's significant. But apparently not to CSM. Looks like "common sense" left town.

The Left always represents their own positions as the "norm", and are shocked when people say they are biased.

In their mind, whatever they belief is the default for humanity and anyone who diverges is a bigot. Never mind that their beliefs are continually evolving and changing from year-to-year or even month-to-month as the political situation dictates.

How do they define diverse? Would a show where a black teen who was marching with blm realizes they are a bunch of frauds count?

Impossible. No such film would be made, and if it was, it would be ignored.

The ideological filter would pre-empt the situation before it happened.

That is so obvious that a blind man could see it. So Family Matters would be diverse but Family Ties not so much. Crazy.

Well Family Matters shows an intact black nuclear family so that is racist I’m sure

I love both shows and it always cracked me up how George Jefferson talked about Archie being a bigot but he was basically a black Archie Bunker. Same attitude.

I've been catching up retards who say that all criticism of Rings of Power is racist by simply saying

"So what was it when everyone freaked out about whites in Gods of Egypt and how they want to only have Asians in Avatar The last Airbender?"

Usually no replies or some smug "nawt da saym" comment
