I love asking 20 something black people who can’t shut up about oppression what specific oppression they experienced. They are usually from middle class to wealthy upbringing. Or if I really want an argument I can ask why they can’t shut up about things they never experienced or why they don’t support organizations that work to free slaves today.
Yea. When I was still on Reddit a lot in some of the nerd subreddits I’d get downvoted to oblivion for saying that you have issues if everything you watch has to represent you.
r/characterrant in a nutshell. They constantly complain about shonen comics not having "strong" female characters but get pissed when anyone points out that isnt the demographics and there are plenty of women centric genres
