I'm disappointed that it's about the Rangz of Powah instead.
I had to turn off that new Elvis movie a few minutes in the entire beginning is basically "Look at all the stuff Elvis stole from black people."
I've never seen a movie just berate you with a message in the opener like that.

Blues is a mix of folk from European heritage, West African heritage, and Native American heritage, played on middle eastern instruments.
Rock n roll is a logical conclusion of blues, through r&b.
The most early influences in r'n'r were black, but since about the late 60s were white.

Black elves (and dwarves) annoy the shit out of me. They just seem to add to the idea that elves aren't a distinct race, but ordinary humans with pointy ears, what with having different ethnic groups that are exactly the same as human ethnic groups. And yet despite that, they still always live in the same biospheres as "white" elves and get along with them without issue, only facing prejudice against the humans...
Would make more sense to be dark elves or some shit. Elves will always be blonde and fair skinned because those are "angelic" and "pure". No offense, but blacks dont have physical qualities that embodies those terms.
Even Tolkien's dark elves are white that is because they are elves. The corrupted versions that have a different color are called orcs.

Are there drow in Middle Earth?
There are elves of color in forgotten realms, you had the drow that was suppose to be obsidian black, you had sun elves that had golden looking skin, wood elves with copper skin etc. I prefer elves having non-human skin colors vs humans with pointy ears.
I think they even added some brown looking ones to appease black people, they even went way overboard with having them have dreads , this was the correct way to introduce diversity back when people cared about the original material and wanted to build on it rather then destroy it. It was still kind of goofy and silly but was fine in my book.
Old hat, I'm pretty sure there's been lots of Elvii of colour anywhere that busking is a viable thing. 😉
