She was successfully treated for anorexia as a teenager, but after boot camp, she began to binge eat and became bulimic.

So she was already mentally unstable before she joined the military and she's the best example they could come up with for the article?

No. Our best are now in the skilled trades as well as the army of white males passed for promotion who are reporting to minority/women managers.

Not just already mentally unstable at that, but trading one eating disorder for another related one.

It’s not exactly a secret that militaries have certain requirements for physical fitness that have to be met. There was even a TED talk about obesity in the US being a risk to the military. If you’ve already had an eating disorder you should know the risk.

The whole article is whining about the existence of standards. The problem is that the standards are too low, and not just in the military but across the entirety of western society. It's good to bully and shame the fat and the weak.

Bully? no. Hold to a higher standard? absolutely. I will never tell someone it's okay to be fat, but I will also never be one to pick on the weak. Their sub-par fitness is punishment enough.

Bullying helped cull the herd. Now people are too comfortable with their degeneracy and weaknesses.

A quick look at the current year shows it’s everyone’s problem.

prey-animal mindset. bullying is social enforcement of standards. pick on the weak when they are obviously being weak lazy faggots and not even putting in an effort to live or be a productive member of society.

That isn't the only reason people are bullied. Often the "standards" are disgusting and unvirtuous. Public schools have been like prisons for decades. Now the SJWs are the bullies in charge.

If you're just talking about fatties, Ok maybe it's acceptable then.

Bring back bullying! Bully fat people mercilessly. They aren't even really humans.

Yeah. Women complaining about objective reality, standards, consequences, and their emotional states. Nothing new. This is just women. A very good reason that women should not be in the military. I mean, besides the other obvious reason that 99.9% of them won't EVER actually fight in a war. They'll just get pregnant and skip the whole "war" part of the deal. Leaving the men (trannies and faggots) left to pick up the wrecked chain of command.

She's mentally ill and probably shouldn't have made it in.

Talking to military people I know, the fitness standards are weak as it is. I used to think when I was high school age there's no way I'd make it through their tough fitness standards. That was me being misinformed, anyone that age should be able to barring things like actual physical disability.

More Fat Activist whining at the few remaining contexts where people are confronted with the fact excess fat is bad for health, impairs performance, necessitates costly accomodations, and looks repulsive.

In North America, 70% of the population is too fat by body mass index it's even worse going by body fat percentage since over the past decades, we mechanized-away most physically-demanding daily tasks, so muscle mass decreased and body fat% increased. ( there is no bodybuilder epidemic in Western countries. If your doctor can see your abs, you're not gonna get a lecture on excess body fat. )

All restrictive eating disorders combined kill less in a month than Type-2 diabetes in a day.

Most deaths associated with Anorexia, by far the most deadly one, are suicides, as Anorexia Nevrosa is nearly always tied to deep underlying problems or low self-esteem, feeling low control and despair over one's life, depression, chronic pain, mixed with a perfectionist, obsessive-compulsive personality types.

Intersectional Cultists often imply "BIPOC" are not diagnosed as often for AN due to "racist doctors". On this forum it's not a bannable offence to say the actual reason : AN necessitates a high level of self-control, some understanding of cause and effect, and these are not evenly-distributed across all racial groups. So more Asian and White anorexics.

Anytime some org or school tries to teach fatties about the importance of decreasing their caloric intake and do some daily exercise, the program gets scrapped or broken into a useless Body Positive brainwashing session by useful idiots screaming about AnOrExIA.

A few years ago, schools in Québec stopped teaching kids to calculate their BMI because parents squeeled to the media "the school told my daughter she was fat, this is problematic, muh eating disorders, muh fat shaming". Your daughter is fat. It's your fault.

I imagine this military trying to enforce integration in the 1960s with the materiel they had available.

So...

It's the military-industrial complex's fault she's fat?

That's a new one, for divesting responsibility of one's own actions.

LOL eating disorders in the Army used to mean too many damn fat cakes, I guess now our coddled tranny soldiers are too worried their hips might look too big in their ACUs.

I'm so glad was I in the Army and not in the Marines. Once a Marine always a Marine. Me, I'm just an ex-soldier and we were cool and winning when I left the service. I have zero affiliation with whatever the hell... this... is nowadays.
