To clarify a bit, the reason that this is a mess is because in UK law rape is done only by men.

So because a law, that I assume was supported by feminists, that protected women rapists , now they have a choice between being "bigoted" towards trans or allow women to be raped without being rape.

Clearly there is a solution to make biological distinction between sexes and keep their "special" status but that would mean that the law makes a distinction between women and biological women, the shitstorm would be a lot more fun then anything Netflix will ever make.

The other option is to change the definition of rape to cover both sexes.

Either way I consider that a win as long as the issue is not ignored.

Will be ignored, and anyone who publicly questions it will be gulaged.

in UK law rape is done only by men.

No it's by someone with a penis which has repeatedly been highlighted as a problem regarding both female perpetuated rape prosecutions and reports as the former are ignored and the latter means "all rapist are men" [because they don't count the women].

Their own woke definitions now include women having a penis so the reasoning of "This isn't a man" is bullshit under their own insanity.

The solution to that is to define lesbian rape under the law and to mandate that MTF rapists must be identified as male.

The solution is to take women's rights away. They shouldn't be voting. They should be improving their sewing skills at home and learning to be pleasant.

The solution is to completely undo the enlightenment.

"Freedom and equality" are in reality slavery and mediocrity.

Is there "equal but different" terminology used regarding equivalent acts?

In parts of the UK "female rape" is referred to as "Sexual assault" and "is treated the same as rape" and "carries the same sentencing terms".

Which is all entirely bullshit since;

  1. In the court of public opinion hearing "rape" is always worse than "sexual assault".

  2. The minimum and maximum sentencing terms in some countries for 'sexual assault' vs 'rape' are 6 months and 7 years minimum for the former vs 10 years and life maximum for the latter.

So "for the same thing" men can be sentenced to life for something a woman may only get 6 months for simply because of how things are defined.

I can see a lot of rapists using this strategy now. Good job, UK!

Heterosexual men who "identify as women" don't even have the slight brain feminisation found in most homosexual men ( regardless or "gender identity". The "transwomen have female brains" is a lie. Homosexuels, however they "identify", have a few brain areas that fall between the statistical average of both sexes, in an overall male brain. ).

"Trans lesbians", so autogynephiles, usually have one brain alteration in common though. One found in patients with strong paraphilias. Usually multiple ones : Objects, animals, autogynephilia, children.

And now you know why there are so many child rapist among autogynephiles.

You can't feel like a woman when you can't even define it or ever being one.

Trannies have very strict definition on what is masculine and what is feminine. They're staunch believers in the binary which is why they hate traps, futas, and anything else that blurs the line.

To summarise, during a Parliamentary debate about just how it came to be that the NHS has re-interpreted a law - not something the NHS is allowed to do - to update single-sex wards to allow single-sex and transgender people in, the case of a woman who was raped in a single-sex ward by a biological male was raised. This case was fought by the NHS for a year on the basis that because the biological male in question was transgender he wasn't actually biologically male, and therefore no rape took place - despite CCTV evidence to the contrary.

The NHS's response to this is to commit to supporting the NHS's regulations (not the law as written by Parliament) and to "supporting the maintenance/strengthening of trans rights in the update" - apparently granting trans women to right to rape is not far enough for the NHS.

Kind of a tangent but I don't understand why agencies funded by the government fight lawsuits or investigations by the government or the people paying them. Whether the actions are right or wrong, is there no sense of duty or "chain of command"? It happens in the US a lot with police departments and schools.

Some of these bureaucrats appear to be more activist than bureaucrat; their own conception of their role is specifically to subvert the public will to instead conform to their own moral codes.

Not that leftist freaks have to have a coherent reason, but how did they jump from "he's a female TO thus no rape can take place"?

Rape doesn't require a penis or penetration necessarily.

Also, does that mean lesbians can't commit sexual assault?

Other than fantasy land gender politics, why does his gender recognition negate the existence of a physical act?

You're coming at this from a logical perspective, trying to discern the operable rules and applying them.

They are coming at this from an activist perspective, and they are unwilling to punish somebody from a disadvantaged background. Thus they will use any of the rules available in any fashion required to prevent any harm being inflicted on the disadvantaged person.

And yes, that does mean that to these activists, some people are simply not within the bounds of the law.

The attack took place a year ago and the woman reported it but when officers contacted the hospital, which has not been named, they were told “that there was no male in the hospital, therefore the rape could not have happened”.

Okay, thats strange, but...

“During that year she has almost come to the edge of a nervous breakdown, because being disbelieved about being raped in hospital has been such an appalling shock. The hospital, with all its CCTV, has had to admit that the rape happened and that it was committed by a man.”

what the fuck, so it happened AT THE HOSPITAL? AND THE HOSPITAL WAS COVERING IT UP??

WOW.

“None the less, it has taken nearly a year for the hospital to agree that there was a male on the ward and, yes, this rape happened.

“The result of Annex B is that hospital trusts inform ward sisters and nurses that if there is a male, as a trans person, in a female ward, and a female patient or anyone complains, they must be told that it is not true - there is no male there,” she told the upper chamber.

The UK is fucked.

Before the consultation on the issue closed, Dr Michael Brady promised campaigners that the “commitment from the team leading on the review is supporting the maintenance/strengthening of trans rights in the update”.

She said that the fact that Dr Brady is the NHS “LGBT adviser might make him rather the opposite of impartial”.

If the u/TheImpossible1 was not currently banned I would ask for his opinion on whether the women (real women) would band together to change law and get rape by trannies classified as rape under UK law, as u/Galean suggests is currently not the case.

The biggest flaw in imp’s worldview is the implication that women are rational actors making long term plans.

This.

Women are literally two busy trying to screw each other over to make any concentrated effort to screw men over. Heck, feminism was just a bunch of childless harpies that only succeeded in making women all over the planet more miserable.
