I remember someone snapped at me when I criticized the me too movement for the whole believe all women crap. I said accusations should be heard but taking an accusation as the gospel truth is very dangerous. I thought I was being reasonable
Reading about her various statements on this is hilarious. Every one is coached to minimize her responsibility and play up the helpless woman line. " but the fact remains that 40 years ago, he became another young Black man brutalized by our flawed legal system." and "“I will continue to struggle with the role that I unwittingly played within a system that sent an innocent man to jail. "
It's also funny that she didn't even pick him out of the line-up, she picked a different guy and claimed they looked almost identical. Hitting that 'stupid white people can't tell black people apart' stereotype perfectly.
True, but from what I could make out of the article, there was no exoneration of this guy, either. I'm assuming for the moment that some man raped her, and that he was black. It was correct of her to report it and to help the police find the guy. The fact that she couldn't pick him out of a lineup does, and the cops (detectives, whatever) ran with it, implicates the cops. It would be correct to apologize for being wrong, but does she really believe that?
In Ms Sebold's apology statement, she said: "I am sorry most of all for the fact that the life you could have led was unjustly robbed from you, and I know that no apology can change what happened to you and never will".
That is true, but I can think of a good way to start.
Lucky sold more than one million copies and launched Ms Sebold's career as an author.
Given that said book is all about the lie, give the guy the proceeds from all sales of Lucky, plus 40 years of interest. Or do you have no interest in doing something that will actually negatively impact you?
Can I just say (unpopular opinion time): Teh Lovely Bones is a shit book, by a shit author, made into a shit movie, with shit actors, that won shit awards, at a shitty biased, circlejerk ceremony…
There, suck on that, Academy freaks!
Seriously, it’s… Legitimately not even good. So fuck this “famous” lying bitch. No surprise someone who wrote that pile of turd would do something like this, lol…
Read the article. She told the police that she thought she had seen her attacker. The police grabbed some random black guy who had been in the area, asked her if it was him, she said no, and they tried and convicted him anyway.

To a zealot, the single most dangerous thing that you can about someone is that they are reasonable.
They know how to work with - or around - other extremists.
I watched some of the jury selection on Nick Rekieta's stream today for the Kim Potter (the "taser taser taser" lady cop).
They gave all potential jurors a questionnaire asking questions specifically about opinions re: BLM and Blue Lives Matter.
It seemed obvious that they were automatically disqualifying anyone who was skeptical of BLM or supportive of cops.
I don't fault them for trying, but it's still concerning that they were allowed to get away with that.
Also, and this has only just occurred to me, the next time "Believe all women" comes up:
What? They don't count? Are you a transphobe or something?
Good points. Granted Blair White is a biological male but at least he acknowledges that and that he has gender dysphoria.
I believe Ashley Biden.
Justice is for people, not work animals. Know your place.

Unwittingly? Was she in a coma while she made this accusation? Wtf are words anyway?
Yeah, at the end of the day, she made the accusation, she testified, she put him there. She doesn't get to offload her responsibility.

So, when does her 16 year prision sentence begin? Also when does she start paying reparations?
That is true, but I can think of a good way to start.

REPARATIONS NOW...but only if the government pays them on my behalf.

I'm guessing no perjury trial for this confessed liar is due.
Wouldn't do to inconvenience feminists over something as trivial as ruining a guy's life, would it?
I'm guessing people review bombed her shitty book.
My money is that she faked the whole thing. These types of white women have a habit of doing that.
Her conscience has not given her peace of mind all these years. But she stood her ground all along. Typical.
To be honest, she belived the government even though they were wrong.
Read the article. She told the police that she thought she had seen her attacker. The police grabbed some random black guy who had been in the area, asked her if it was him, she said no, and they tried and convicted him anyway.
Read it again- they arrested who she told them to arrest. She didn't say no, she failed to pick him from the line-up.

Jesus motherfucking Christ! This is horrifying!! WTF! She should serve at least this much for causing this much harm to him, all on a lie.
Not sure if she deserves free sex.

Has she killed herself, or made an effort to get remanded to prison?
Or even given up monetary value to repair his life? Remember she went on to become a well paid author...
The left has muslims and the rainbow reich working in tandem to undermine the west. And we have tone policing like this.
I think it’s pretty reasonable.
Yeah she doesn't deserve sex, she should be shot.
