There's a large class of "protected" people, and we're not in it.

I am. 45 US states have religious exemption laws, so find Jesus and you’re good.

Meanwhile the city of Austin is lamenting that it can't require proof of vaccination for employees because of state law.

Honestly a lot of google employees are based in India or Ireland, I doubt you can get them to vaccinate.

I assume they plan on having the US offices to mandate vaccinations but who knows.

Still is a big thing if it happens. I wonder if it affects all those working from home.

It’s more likely they’ll be vaccinated in Ireland than here. We have strong religious protection laws and nearly every state has a law outlining religious exemption to vaccination.

Though I don’t know how many Google employees are religious or would think to use it.

I live in Ireland, vaccines aren’t mandatory here in any way. No employers are able to mandate that workers have to get it, and the government only advises people get it. There’s actually been a fairly low uptake in the number of under 30s signing up for the vaccine.

They’re far from the first company to do this. I’ve heard lots of people on here complain about their workplaces requiring the vaccine.

Religious exemption is key.

LOOK UP THE EMAIL ADDRESSES FOR EVERYONE WHO WORKS THERE. EMAIL THEM THIS INFORMATION. COPY REPORTERS AT LOCAL NEWSPAPERS ON THE SAME EMAIL. Set a goal and send emails daily...

sample email and all the info: https://patriots.win/p/12jJdz4CWo/if-these-injections-are-pulled-i/

I don't work for Google but I work for another large company and nearly every day get random emails from people I've never heard of. They almost always go in the trash unless I see they come from within the company, and even then I often delete them without reading them.

Someone who gets >100 emails/day isn't going to pay any attention to an unsolicited email about vaccines coming from outside their company.

Imagine if you got hired during the pandemic, now refuse to vax, and got fired having never showed up to work. I mean you probably worked remotely; I just think it's weird.

It will drive out what few sensible people are left at the company, leaving only the idiots.

While I don't think being an idiot warrants the death penalty, I also won't cry when some of them clot up and die from to their own bad decisions.

Google is already fucked. Every big company is fucked. Based on my conversations with ppl in the bay area, the good/competent employees are leveraging their WFH time to work on startups. I anticipate when RTO comes around many will quit to focus on the startups fulltime.

It cause myocarditis at rates of 1:3000 to 1:6000, which is 5-25 times the background rate.

The CDC has similar data, refer to page ~28 of this presentation, showing rates up to 9-100× the expected rates in 18-24 year-old males: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/acip/meetings/downloads/slides-2021-06/03-COVID-Shimabukuro-508.pdf
