Something else to keep in mind, the word "pandemic" has never really been used until now. The word people used to describe widespread disease was "epidemic". So for all intents and purposes, they added a new word "pandemic" to the English language, defined as "the COVID-19 situation"

Bullshit. I work at Google, I work 12 hours per week. Best job I ever had, despite the insanity from upper management. I haven't had to get a jab or a mask so I don't care. It's all a bluff. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet.

This article is bullshit. And also very old. I work at Google, this memo came out 2 weeks ago on the December 3 "deadline" to submit jab status. I have not submitted my jab status, nothing has happened. In the memo they say, as long as an employee is remote they don't have to get jabbed.

This ruling only applies to like, cafeteria workers, and shit like that. People that need to be onsite. Not SWEs or PMs or any of the actual jobs. It would be suicide if they mass fired 10%+ of their workforce on the same day. Imagine if most of the ppl running YouTube got fired simultaneously. The site would be fucked and they'd lose hundreds of millions of dollars

I wouldn't do stocks. NYSE might become insolvent at some point. For real estate it depends, the main risk is how property ownership is gonna work in the future. Maybe it gets seized, maybe not. Crypto is also risky since if it gets criminalized, or the internet goes down, it will go down by a lot.

Also it depends on your living situation. If you live in a city or don't own your own property I'd probably do crypto since you can keep it in a brainwallet. If you own a house in a red state then I'd probably just buy gold or collectibles (such as vintage video games) since those will likely retain their value longterm

Yep, basically this, but unironically. Some places are off-limits, and the vid in OP is a perfect example. Those dudes are in the wrong. They picked the wrong battle.

Ok, well, you can balance it out by attending one of the anti-vaccine protests that happen pretty much every single day.

Thank you. This is kinda like going into a woman's bathroom in compton or east oakland with a "I hate niggers" t-shirt on

It's actually not a bad place to be right now. The convenience/infrastructure is unmatched. Sure, there's a lot of brainwashed idiots but there's also normal people like this woman. I'd say it's 50/50. All you need is a photoshopped pic of a CDC card in your phone and you're good to go.

I don't know who has worse autism, you or WhitePhoenix. This is not how you communicate with other people. Learn how to have a conversation. You don't take turns replying to each other sentences. Fucking dumb bitch.

Google is already fucked. Every big company is fucked. Based on my conversations with ppl in the bay area, the good/competent employees are leveraging their WFH time to work on startups. I anticipate when RTO comes around many will quit to focus on the startups fulltime.

There are some things in life you can't control, rejecting a life-changing job over some dubious "morals" is retarded. I can't believe you compared collecting a salary from Google to accepting bribes. You didn't even bring up what his job even was.

Dude I don't blame him at all for working at Google. I just started working there, it's like being a receptionist for the KGB, you get paid a fuckton to do basically nothing, and when you're done it opens so many doors. Sometimes you gotta put your morals aside to get ahead. That's life.

Not the parent but at least with videogames it's pretty obvious you're wasting time. Being on this site feels strangely productive even tho its not. Hell even /pol/ is better.
