It definitely exists, just not in white neighborhoods. I grew up around poor mexicans, and there was tons of catcalling, and not all of it was unsuccessful or unwanted, either.
I lived in NYC about 20 years ago. My brother was friends with this Jamaican lady who had a decent face and a massive bubble butt. I went to their office one night after work and we walked like six blocks to get drinks.
I’m not a prude or anything but the things I heard men (none white or Asian) say to this woman were unconscionable. My mother would smother me with a pillow if she saw me talk to a woman that way. And trust me, it wasn’t like a random one off thing for this lady, it was like every 30 feet.
She had a big mouth to return volleys, too. One guy was asking “why you walking with them white boys?” And she immediately dropped “white boys have jobs and aren’t sitting on a stoop yelling at women all day - you should try it sometime.”
I've had women I'm with get watched and one time out of thousands I heard a guy say something under his breath. I wouldn't even have noticed if the bitch I was with wasn't like SEE! SEE! They so desperately want it to be true.
A great majority of women (like 9,999 out of ten thousand) are completely full of shit when it comes to cat calls.
One thing I've learned from being around women- if their story makes them seem noble, virtuous or victimized it is bullshit. If it makes them look good at all it's a lie.
The fucked up thing is women will truly fucking believe shit that never happened because they so desperately want it to be true. Once you understand that you understand why women act the way they do, especially when it comes to their idiotic political beliefs.

Add to that the existence of the press and a public where nearly everyone carries a video camera in their pocket. I can't prove that the entirety of her public appearances since becoming first lady have been caught on film, but it wouldn't surprise me to discover that was the case either.
Geez you'd think the former/ current at the time FIRST LADY might have some recourse or something. I guess she was defenseless against the horrors of "words" and "signs"

I did once see a white guy say to a girl walking by "DAMN DID YOU WEAR THOSE SHORTS FOR ME?" but they might have known each other.
