I'm posting this in case there's anyone left who thinks vegans give a shit about animals or anything besides feeling morally superior to us hated omnivores.
Don't be like a mouth foaming leftist making dumb, sweeping condemnations of entire groups, plenty of vegans care a lot and don't feel morally superior.
These people are perfect Marxist foot soldiers though. Deranged psychopaths using an ideology to shield their vile animal abuse. The poor dogs didn't even have water bowls :( Then they had the audacity to say they were better because vegan. Disgusting.
The only reason to go vegan at all is because you feel morally superior already. It's certainly not for the health benefits. If they gave a shit about the environment or whatever they would realize that their veganism leads to more deforestation as more land is needed to grow the palm oil for their special needs products.
Kinda reminds me of people who recycle certain things that actually have a higher environmental cost to recycle it than just make new stuff [aka: a lot of the stuff people recycle are this way].
They don't look at the full picture at all.
I guess I don't mind it so much if they just find it "gross." That probably implies some other things though.
I'm just making a generalization based on experience. I don't care what anyone eats, they can eat Soylent Green if they've sourced it legally.
Just in my experience vegans always have to announce it with trumpets that they are indeed a vegan and make a big deal out of it. If going out with friends, just order whatever meets the diet and be quiet about it. I don't announce if I order a burger with a side of vegetables that I did that because I do in fact eat meat and that I don't eat french fries.
Again, that's based on my experience. Perhaps there's a bunch of quiet vegans that do what I'm suggesting but I suppose they don't draw notice.
The only time I've ever heard anybody talk about how much they like meat is in response to when some vegan dipshit starts running their mouth. And nobody thinks it's a "virtue" to eat meat, it's just an enjoyable thing to do, so calling it "virtue signaling" doesn't even make sense.
The closest you might be able to describe it as "virtue signaling" is to let other people know that you're also annoyed by judgmental assholes bloviating about their virtuous diets.
If you look just above that, I was responding to "only time I've ever heard anybody talk about how much they like meat," not about virtue signalling.
You're right. Sorry about that.
The rest of the behaviors you mentioned, including the quotes of other people in this thread, are just things that you find objectionable. They're not virtue signalling. Virtue signalling has a clear definition. Someone bringing up how their diet is better because they enjoy meat, or it's healthier, may be annoying, but is not virtue signalling. Someone bringing up their diet in a conversation, unsolicited, to tell you about how it's better for the environment, is. Someone talking shit about vegans or making sweeping generalizations about them, may be an asshole, but is not virtue signalling.
People need to take the fucking chips off their shoulders. Not everyone is judging you. The idea that people made a life choice for themselves isn't somehow an attack on everyone else. If someone goes to the gym 4 times a week, that isn't an attack on everyone who doesn't.
Sure, I agree. Except that most people here have become wary of "tolerance" as a Trojan Horse for authoritarians to get their foot in the door and later impose their morals and laws on other people.
Furthermore, if a behavior is deemed to be harmful (such as in this case - veganism that lead to animal abuse, ironically one of the things it's supposed to solve), people are going to criticize it. This thread wasn't a case of "hey guys I REALLY FUCKING HATE VEGANS HERE'S MY BLOGPOST", it was a reaction to an event about how veganism almost killed some puppies.
And for what it's worth, I really don't agree with the sweeping generalizations here and I think lots of people here just enjoy making shallow generalizations about groups they dislike.
Most people, including most vegans, just want to live their lives, put only what they want in their mouths, and just generally do their own thing and not be judged, the same as most people here.
Maybe, except you never see this people. Most vegans are those who lecture everyone on how they are killing the planet and you are a monster for eating Bambi or something.
The reason people do not like vegans is that they act like assholes. As for the soy thing, soy men look kind of bad, the skinny with men boobs look is just not a good look. That and it does contain estrogen, is obviously not as potent as hormones produced by the body but men boobs + estrogen makes for a good laugh.
How many times have you seen a conversation where only people who eat meat are talking about how much they hate vegans, for all the judging that vegans do
This is totally fine in my book, if vegans act like assholes then we should be able to talk about how they are assholes or hypocrites.
The whole "soy-" thing is a virtue signal for eating meat.
No, it's a joke against someone virtue signalling eating vegan. It also functions as a multi-layered joke against Leftists for being so predictable. But it doesn't actually virtue signal for anything, which is the crucial component for virtue signalling.
Big difference between dragging something down and laughing at it and propping something else up and displaying yourself.
As a shitpost, sure. But look at this logically. There wouldn't be any joke to make unless there were alot more virtue signalling vegans than virtue signalling meat eaters. It just wouldn't stick.
Reminds me of that joke about putting your dog on a vegan only diet. Is it too hard to just let your damn pets eat meat? Get a herbivore pet if it offends your first-world sensibilities that animals have different diets to humans, may I suggest a rabbit?

Reminds me of that short spat I had with a vegan Youtuber who claims to give his dog a non-meat diet and it is perfectly healthy.

Really? Because I've never personally seen or met one.
I have never met a vegan that didn't constantly talk about it xD

Maybe one or two? I've personally never met a vegan who wasn't a raging Leftist as well. Not a single one.
That’s because eating meat makes you healthy and strong. Healthy strong people don’t want the government to take care of them.
found the vegan
Vegans are worse than mosquitoes.
Vegan is just another virtue signal to me. There's a big difference from being a health nut and being a vegan.
I'm just making a generalization based on experience. I don't care what anyone eats, they can eat Soylent Green if they've sourced it legally.

I appreciate that you're making an effort to argue your point in good faith, but
that's not virtue signalling
neither is that
nor that. are you sure you know the meaning of this term?
You're right. Sorry about that.

found the vegan
This is just sad.
Hey now we don't want to poison the dogs with Soy :(
What a piece of human shit. And she actually thinks she's the one who loves animals. She's literally treating them like Guantanamo inmates.
Reminds me of that joke about putting your dog on a vegan only diet. Is it too hard to just let your damn pets eat meat? Get a herbivore pet if it offends your first-world sensibilities that animals have different diets to humans, may I suggest a rabbit?
A trans kid is like a vegan dog, we all know who's making the decisions.
ban vegans
These animal abusing degenerates should be deprived of something, like say, oxygen since they seem to get off on deprivation.
Also, they will tell you it is a vegan is the other way xD
Wonder if the dogs were just lucky to survive long enough and the obligate carnivore cats are buried in the yard somewhere.
