I have found a list of companies that have already announced that they are going to push vaccine passports. Check to see if your employer is on this list. (archive.is)

IBM

Helping authoritarian regimes keep records is just part of their company DNA.

I used to work for them. Their foreign investments and government work looked very shady when I was there. I was a low level employee but some things just did not add up.

I used to work for them as well and the woke shit came in really hard and fast. We couldn't get our division profitable despite being one of the bragged about "AI" and big data groups. The VP over us would just blog about BLM and the virus while we were floundering but prevent us from actually functioning. They laid people off to make earnings during the peak of the economic damage and the VP's team selected who to lay off. Higher ups usually tell low level managers to lay off a certain number of people but this time this woman's team hand selected who and still won't tell why. The result was teams losing essential people while the dead weight stuck around.

The BLM shit at IBM was insane. They had propaganda all over and had the term emb(race) on their propaganda. There are black Slack channels where black women complain about how IBM is oppressing them despite them all being insufferable managers of useless teams. The only funny part about those channels are the black women bitching at the white women about "allyship" and how its empty unless whites give their jobs to blacks. They would @ managers, making retarded demands, and the managers would stay quiet while being harassed. Our managers were told to ask the blacks in our teams if they felt safe working at IBM. Everyone there made $75k+ and the office was in a wealthy and low crime area. The black diversity officer for our location drove a Mercedes.

IBM doesn't give a shit about its employees and management is filling up with upper(middle) class women who treat their job as more of a social activity than a responsibility with people's livelihoods on the line.

When I worked for the DOD I was shocked to learn how many of IBM's global service techs were on our payroll as well...

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Except people accept it because it's under the banner of "social justice."

Take Microsoft, for example. They've been going after open source software for years. They buy GitHub and make a code of conduct standard for all new projects as well as pushing them among open source in general, driving away the kind of talented developers that aren't good at socializing or simply care more about merit and the project than other factors.

It's not all that different from their tactics in the 90s and 00s, but calling them out for it is now verboten.

I work for a company that sent an all hands email stating that he vaccine is a personal choice and they will not be requiring anyone to get the vaccine.

I'm really happy for that.

The company I work for is deep blue and the angle I chose to take was "There is no way I'm taking Trump's vaccine. He rushed it to production and I don't trust that racist."

Being deep undercover is pretty fun sometimes.

Their demigods in charge have told them what to think. Before the election the vaccines were dangerous and untested. Now they're safe because Glorious Leader says so.

Trust the science.

It was, but then they turned on a dime.

Remember when Colbert's audience cheered when he announced Comey had been fired, and he had to "correct" them?

If you know the higher ups I would give them positive feedback for actually giving a shit about your personal freedoms.

Fuck man, I don't even mind if they say "We highly recommend you get it if you are of a high risk group, but we also understand this is a personal choce considering current circumstances" - i.e. they can push it but not fucking SHAME you for it.

Oh for sure. I'm in sales and we do monthly meeting with the management and CEO. So I can bend their ear on it.

Mine did too, but I could see them changing their minds if the state "encourages" them to mandate it.

The execs have shown themselves to have the spine of jellyfish, so I don't trust them to keep their word.

Same. My company is strongly urging people to get the vaccine but saying that it's a personal choice. The province where I live also says it's illegal to discriminate against people who don't get the vaccine.

However at the same time, the CEO of my company sent out a mass email saying

The best vaccine for you is the one that is available. Trust that they're all safe

Hours before Canada put all Astra Zeneca vaccinations for under 55's on hold.

We've had "get the vaccine facts" sessions with our Chief Medical Officer. They don't seem to quite get that if I don't trust the White House doctors telling me it's safe, I'm probably not going to trust our CMO that went to the same schools and is beholden to the same system.

I can't imagine the person who says "well I don't trust that Fauci, but I trust our CMO who I've never met and who lives on the other side of the country"

The part that gets me is that the Government of Canada said that all of these vaccines have been thoroughly tested and are definitely safe, no need to worry. Then other countries started finding a causal link between the Astra Zeneca vaccine and brain blood clots, which led to at least 5 deaths of young adults who were at no risk of dying to the virus. And it's only after that happens that Canada suddenly pulls that vaccine from use for under 55's.

But if they had thoroughly tested it and knew it was safe, how did this escape their notice? They must be either incompetent or malicious and either way, why should I now trust any of the other vaccines on offer? Can I trust that as much "care" was put into vetting them too?

I'm not even anti-vac or even anti-mRNA vaccine, because I understand the mechanism behind how they work and it makes sense. But I am anti-"give everyone in the world a new vaccine type that has never been implemented in humans before for a virus that 99.9% of the population shouldn't be legitimately concerned over"

I don't want something injected in me where you likely had a pharma CEO hovering over a bunch of scientists and engineers telling them "you will get this released and approved by this date, or it will be you standing in front of the Board explaining why you failed".

I've been in the shoes of those scientists and engineers, for things far less important or politicized. And I will tell you that I would hit that date, and you wouldn't want to ask too many questions about how I did it.

Microsoft

This should surprise literally no one, but was interesting that there weren't more big name tech companies hopping in on this bandwagon.

Very noticeable names missing:

  1. Alphabet/Google
  2. Amazon
  3. Facebook
  4. Oracle

Think those are it for the heavy hitters, but obviously a ton of other names not listed.

Amazon and alphabet are already on the hook for a bunch of employee issues, maybe they just decided they already had enough potential lawsuits on their plate without a bunch of medical discrimination suits.

There's an Epic that makes medical software or something. Makes a lot more sense to be amongst the rest of that list than Epic Games. https://www.epic.com/

The more it gets pushed the more I think covid is not only bei ng used by authoritarian dicks, but is also an excuse to create a whole new industry off the backs of medical orgs.
