"Slow the rise of cases" is a stupid goal. "Slow the rise of expensive outcomes like hospitalizations or deaths so the 'infrastructure' can cope" is better, but still condescending and ultimately disruptive and unhelpful.
Lockdowns do not save lives. Lockdowns stretch the inevitable over a longer period for the very dubious benefit of having fewer problems right this second, traded for more and expanded problems on until the indefinite. In practice we do not even experience "fewer problems right this second" we experience different and unnecessary ACUTE problems right this second.
All these lazy virus fear ridden eat this shit up. They are idiots and have in their head that a dramatic heavily enforced lockdown will make it all just go away forever. That's not how it works. At best that slows it down, which was really the whole point of the "flatten the curve" shutdown already.
It's just another disease in the world. Diseases happen. People die. That's just how life is.
This would probably be the "Dark Winter" that Biden talked about, or at least a precursor for it. It's very clear that they just want to exercise totalitarian control over the population and don't actually care about some virus that 99% of the time does not affect people seriously. Always take note of how many times people talk about "cases" rather than deaths or hospitalizations in order to justify this.
Dark winter I believe is their code word for wiping out all small businesses in the United States, which is exactly what would happen. Friends of mine that own their own small businesses like hair salons, chiropractors, etc. are all up and arms at the idea of a 6 week lockdown. All of them say they simply will be out of business at that point.

I agree with you. It is unlikely he turns either GA or PA but having both of them plus another state seems next to impossible. But I would expect nothing else from Trump other then fight the leftists every step of the way. As you mentioned the true fight now is in Georgia, if we can get a majority there then we get some protection, at least they're not going to pack the courts nor take away first and second amendment. But I do suspect that leftists will find ways around that.

We have been under a six weeks lockdown here. It's not ending. The date they wave at you as the end date is always a lie.
They only ease restrictions when they feel like it, if they have feel-good reaction looking at the statistics and the media's question and tone of articles the media publishes about the government's management of the epidemic.
Even is the criteria stated for lockdown are no longer met, they will drag it longer "just in case".
In my area, the criteria of hospitalizations, the one that actually matters, says we should have few to no restrictions ( yellow zone ) yet we are in red alert zone with almost everything closed, with a ban on visiting anyone who lives at a different adress, even outside the house at 6 feet.
Because too many people test positive. But if this dosen't lead to many hospitalization ( and by now it would have had given the daily cases plateau has been steady for a month ), why such extreme restrictions on basic human interractions!?.
