Went through r/all and saw this inane tweet on r/themajorityreport. Went to r/destiny for a comparison, and was surprised that that community gained a few IQ points over the past 5 years. One of the trending posts is lamenting that the former is a trashbin, although that OP only gets half-credit for only figuring it out in the past 24 hours. Solution, deport all Seder fans to the near East, and FauxMoi participants too while we're at it.
Edit: There are at least 2 upvoted comments on the former post calling this Tweet qanon-level horseshit. One of those accounts is already suspended...
At least some Futbol hooligan had the balls to intervene against 2 knife-wielders in a mall. The American born among these crowds have no such quality.
My only stance on Isreal is for our governments to stop giving them welfare and that I favor the Palestinian territories less than I do the Zionists. However, my spidey-sense was telling me that this is something Mossad would want to do. An advanced-knowledge situation reminiscent of Pearl Harbor is more feasible than some elaborate spook false-flag operation.
I would disown any parent who let their kid put micro-transactions on their wish-list.
It seems like the maliciously retarded post-WWII two-state solution never enters the conversation whenever this country is in the news. I'd rather America give Israel permission to shake an unconditional out of the Gaza strip, and America sever all foreign aid and military alliances in the region. I'm undecided if the whole ordeal is manufactured or sheer incompetence from the 20th-century establishment.
I was deliberately excluding long-term purchases like game consoles, but game discs/cartridges slipped my mind. $20-50 games would swiftly eat up that $100 budget. Without nephews or nieces, I don't know what kids want these days. The websites for toysrus, target, and amazon(worst) are much shittier than the 90's/00's catalogs. So, I don't really know if all cool toys have premium price tags, but I remember why I gave up on legos before high-school.
$100 was a high toy budget for millennials, but inflation and increased brand markup will bump that up to $200 today. Regardless of budget, I think it's important that a well-behaved kid gets something they want, and make sure no relatives are stressed over gifts.
I'm obligated to mention Requiem whenever Skyrim is bought up. Restores old-school RPG combat mechanics from "Morrowind and Daggerfall, as well as Gothic, Deus Ex, Baldur’s Gate, and Icewind Dale". One of the most satisfying single-player experiences I've had in the past 5 years. Wabbajack should have a mod collection; I haven't touched in 3 years so ymmv.
Right in many cases, I'm specifically criticizing Nintendo. They have abundant capital and willing manpower (internal or contract), but their c-suite has a track-record of wanting control over their consumer base. If Wii online was burdensome to maintain, it's because they had an entrenched engineering culture that made patching the Wiis less sensical than the fitness of a stereotypical US Southern inbreed. Uii and 3DS discontinuation was Nintendo wanting to milk customers within an acceptable level of negative publicity.
Something like the Dreamcast (or Nintendo's obscure 90's online services) is excusably old enough, and burdensome to Sega's business strategy. There are also community hacks to play those old machines online, even though PC is a superior platform for online retro-gaming (incl. emulation). The Wii and the U are modern enough (broadband era) where maintenance mode would be a rounding error. In cases like the first two Xboxes causing problems for Xbones' Xbox Live, Micrsosoft should have released a patch making it easy to connect an older console to a community ran master server. That'd be preferable to rearchitecturing to P2P.
They did get around to optimizing turn times about a year into WH2 launch. Can't speak for WH3, it's on the list of games I'll only buy when the complete package is under $20.
The mob-mentality of the entryist replacement Total War fanbase fascinates me more than this dime-a-dozen corporate boondoggle. The fad chasing suckers that piled on Arch and Volund deserve the undercooked TWW3 and super bland TW: Troy plus Pharroh. Not sure if they're capable of such coherent emotions.
If a franchise is getting hyped on r/all, (rupaulsdisgrace, theboys, genshit) there's a 66% of it being objectively shit or heading towards the septic tank. The first season of The Boys could be great for all I know, but I don't trust studios to not cater towards lowest-common-denominator audiences they already appeal to.
I turned off Disenchanted as soon as 'jazz-hands' were introduced as a moral, not a lampoon. Similarly with Dragon Prince somewhere in season 2, a complete moral downgrade from Cartoon Network/Toonami of early 00's, or OG ducktales.
If given the opportunity, a majority of individual women would choose not to work. Those that desire to work in ideal economic conditions aren't causing a housing shortage. Restricting legal and illegal immigration, a nationwide crusade against zoning, a drastic overhaul of our monetary system, and a crackdown on lawless cities would address primary causes of our housing bubble.
If Fortnite was mildly successful as Save The World, and BR (the genre) flopped, maybe Tencent would have pulled put. Ultimately, I blame the consumer for buying trash, and the voter for complacency in artificially incentivizing these business models more than necessary, before I blame the corporation for chasing profits.
Should have waited until there was an expanded offering beyond Twitter. If Facebook wasn't utterly normie corporate dropping .edu signup requirement, Meta might have been a cool realization of 80s/90s futurism instead of a hijacking a key word of the English language. At least Meta was more than Facebook.
Her and Mccain cosponsored "campaign-finance reform". We need something not permitted on this site.
I've only watched it when it got referenced by Romanian Vee or Lotus Eaters. No reason to watch episodes or clips regularly.
512 MB was anemic at PSX360 launch. But I do hate when entryists genuinely bitch about awkward animations, no VA, low poly models instead of linear gameplay and level design, stagnant NPC ai, and other things core to video games. Displeasure for the emotive cartoony art style aside, BC/Wrath WoW was visually enough for freeform games.
I'm surprised they lasted this long, woke or not. I'm assuming the magazine went stale long before they went broke and desperately got woke.
What bothers me is that pop culture can be a bit of a monoculture; the clean, colorful, eye-popping but not bad art style on every other notable Steam release. Off the top of my head, there's no full-3D video game that nails that epic post-romantic painted look, although thankfully enough on the periphery. Just look at this Frank Frazetta cover from a similar magazine c. 1980. It still holds up 4 decades later with less than a hint of the 80s/90s flavored corniness in related media (corniness itself not always a bad thing). My point is that I hope this grandiose art movement has a renaissance in movies and games so these objectively good past works don't get memory-holed.
Psychobabble. "x-speak" or "x-culture" is are oft enough soft, inch-deep mannerisms belonging to the personalities the authors are complaining about, because they are part of that world. Minimize your exposure to people who mimic network TV sitcoms (friends, how i met your mother) like you would those that embrace Eubonics or Valleyspeak lest you start mirroring them.
Modern Monetary Theory, trending sibling of Keynesianism for internet mouth breathers to fake smartness while worshiping government and normalizing boundless debt. An honest academic MMT proponent will temper their claims about government spending giving the dollar unlimited power, but it's still specious magical nonsense.
If I'm chatting a complete stranger but I have to stick around for more than 5 minutes, sure I'll validate their nonsense before leaving for the bathroom. I'm not usually evasive but I have a visceral distaste for pedestrian gossip and template banter, especially when it seeps into serious topics.
Friends or family (younger than 65), I'll let them dig a hole before countering.
Alternatively segregate the SIMPs away at the municipality level. No need for top-down malfeasance.
Especially with decades of propaganda telling women its emotional abuse for a man to make suggestions towards a woman. Never try to fix a man/woman who's drawn towards sin.
