I love bishop strickland but the problem with "conservative" catholics is that they are obedient no matter what. Strickland will accept his removal and continue tweeting but not actually do anything about it. And neither will all of his supporters. They'll keep donating money, going to Mass, pretending like everything is normal and hoping the next pope will be better.
as a husband, complimenting my wife on things is essential for a healthy marriage. And even outside of work, complimenting people and recognizing when they do something well is just a generally good strategy. As long as it's not fake. There is much to be learned from hallmark movies.
At my job, last year they had a womxn appreciation day. What's a womxn? It's both women and transwomen. But then someone pointed out that using the term "womxn" implies that transwomen aren't women. Oops. This year it was just women's appreciation.
Immediately after 9/11, when the goal of the elites was to get the US to invade as many middle eastern countries as possible, the left was passionately in favor of anti muslim hate. Now that the goal is to import as many muslim refugees as possible, the narrative has flipped.
You do have a point though. Terrorism can work but only if the victim of the terrorism is able to sympathize with the terrorist on some level. For example, terrorism worked to stop Comedy Central from showing the South Park episode that depicted Mohammed (some sympathy for respecting religion) but it didn't work for the Palestinians trying to gain independence from Israel (Israel couldn't care less about them).
They were first started to be an order of priests that was better educated than typical priests in order to fight against protestant attacks on the Church and they were closely connected to the Pope. They did a lot of good things during the counter reformation, played a key role in missionary efforts in Latin America, North America, Asia, and Africa, and established schools all over the world, among other things. But after Vatican 2 they went downhill fast. There are some jesuits I've known who are great people, but there are also many that are literal marxists. The jesuit magazine "America" is absolute filth. And they think that because they're so educated they're right about everything. Some want the Church to become a moral relativist, liberal christian church with gay marriages, women priests, premarital sex, abortion, and everything else evil. They have the least amount of fidelity to the magisterium of the Church of all the orders of priests.
Pope Francis is wrong and as a Catholic I'm ashamed that he's my Pope. I'll pray for him, but hopefully the cardinals have learned that a Jesuit Pope was a bad idea.
