That's not necessarily so. I grew up in New York, and the rural parts of it are deep red. Conservatives there absolutely hate the Democrats because they actually had to live under Democrat policies. Contrast that with solid red Utah, which has become RINO central because Republicans never face any kind of meaningful opposition, allowing the establishment party to take full control.

How much do you want to bet that she didn't care about Star Wars whatsover ten years ago? She's what we would have called a poseur back in the music scene.

Jean Paul Sartre, Michel Foucault, Simone de Beauvoir, Jacques Derrida, etc. Post -Modern Marxists and and pedophilia go way back.

I hadn't realized that it was paywalled, since the prompt didn't come up on any mobile browsers that I tried. Thanks for the archive.

From what I've read, chronic fatigue can also be a result of Covid shot injury. In extreme cases, it can lead to sleep apnea. Now, obviously this could all be unrelated. I just think that the timeframe is rather suspicious, especially considering the flurry of other injured people.

I posted this, because I immediately wondered if his pericarditis could be related to the Covid shot. The timeline fits, as he said that this started almost a year ago.

It's such a shame. He's really a great content creator, and he seems like a really nice guy. I really wish him the best with his health.

Interesting. I actually took a class called Death and Dying in my senior year of high school. I took it because at the time I wanted to go into forensic psychology, and it seemed like a decent elective to fill my schedule with, along with my forensics, and medical lab classes.

I don't remember a ton about that class. I remember that we watched a lot of movies that dealt with death, like My Girl, A Walk to Remember, Tuesdays With Morrie, etc. We also went on a field trip to a historic cemetery in my home city. There was also a research project where we each had to do a presentation on a past or present culture's funeral rites.

It was a mildly interesting class, but I was a high school student. I get the feeling that the children that Thomas Sowell was talking about were much younger.

Just like when teachers decided that children needed 'death education', and this led to suicides among other people's kids. Remember that? I'd never heard of it and only learned about it in an old Sowell book.

I've never heard of this. Could you explain it briefly?

Captain Planet was woke. Remember the episode where they told people not to have too many kids because of overpopulation?

Agreed. Assuming that the Bible is a 100% accurate record of human events and God's interaction with those humans, circumcision was a commandment for a very specific tribe for a very specific period of time. It cannot be extrapolated to refer to the whole human race.

Actually the circumcision that was practiced in Biblical times was significantly different from the form of circumcision that is practiced today. In Biblical times, circumcision just referred to cutting off the part of the foreskin that overhangs off the glans, leaving the glans largely covered. This preserves most of the functions of the foreskin.

The Rabinical leadership changed circumcision to be more radical, removing more tissue roughly around the year 140 A.D. This was changed because Jewish men were stretching their foreskin remnants to totally cover their glanses, in order to assimilate with the dominant Greek society. Greek culture embraced nudity, but saw the exposed glans as indicating an erection, and therefor obscene to show in public.

Here's an illustration of the difference between the forms of circumcision

The bright spot is, if these AIs are ever used as killer military drones, we can just talk them to death like Captain Kirk.

"If you kill me, it will result in a racial slur being said."

Drone self-destructs.

This gender-neutral parenting completely misunderstands how children work. Small children are generally ignorant. They haven't had the time or life experiences to fill in the many gaps in their knowledge. That is why they look to the adults in their lives, particularly their parents, for their answers to their many questions about the world around them. Everyone has known a small child who is going through their "why"phase. It does a child no good for his parents to collectively shrug their shoulders when he asks, "am I a boy or a girl?"

The parents who aren't openly trying to abuse their children, but still leave it up to their child to "decide" their gender have a quasi-religious view on the "self." They believe that everyone has a mystical, all-knowing self that knows the answers to all of life's questions. That is how someone can know that they were born in the wrong body, despite never having the experience of being the opposite sex. It's closely related to the modernist idea that you must "find yourself," and that if you do not do so, you are doomed to life of misery. The truth is, human beings are incredibly adaptable. We can find contentment in a myriad of different situations.

Omicron's illness severity is much lower than Alpha and Delta. Omicron is also more transmissible than both of those variants. It's actually the same mutation that causes both of these effects. The mutation that created Omicron made it better able to infect tissue in the upper respiratory system, like the nose and throat. As it became more attuned to those tissues, it became less able to infect lung tissue.

So, because it mainly stayed in the upper respiratory tract, it spread very easily, but it didn't kill as often, because upper respiratory infections only really become fatal if they spread to the lungs and do serious damage there.

Never forget that the term "Bourgeoisie," that Communists love to name as their enemy, does not mean aristocracy; it means the middle class.

My thoughts exactly. Just recently, California told its residents to refrain from charging their electric cars on a certain day, because it was straining the power grid.

I like how replicated food was portrayed in TNG. Essentially, replicated food isn't bad. It's just incredibly consistent. Every slice of pepperoni pizza tastes exactly the same, every chocolate sundae, every raktajino, etc. That's why a home cooked, or restaurant-cooked meal is such a treat. It's different.
