Zoe: Hasn't really been in anything that stood out? Much like most of the cast there's a lot of VA work but out of the lot Gina Torres is probably the one I've seen "in person" the least. Apart from her work as Superwoman in one of the Justice League animated movies and some other VA work I've not really encountered her much.

She has a minor role in the Hannibal TV series, as Jack Crawford's wife.

Whether they leave or not, they're going to doxx them. Then, after they leave, they'll arrest them one by one. That was the central lesson from 1/6.

Tbf, manga is way more diverse, content-wise, than Western comics. There are whole genres written specifically for women and girls. I could see how that could change the demographics of comic readership.

Ironically, they ripped off a dozen things from the EU and just made them worse. I wish Disney had actually hired one of the better EU writers, like Timothy Zahn, and had him write the overarching story. Then they could have had a professional screenwriter turn it into a screenplay if it wasn't a strong point for him.

I think so, specifically Volkswagen. But, then it came out that they were fudging their numbers, as is tradition.

Both dwarfs and dwarves are plurals of the word dwarf. Tolkien popularized the latter spelling. Dwarfs as mythical beings have been a part of Norse and Germanic folklore for as long as recorded history of the region has existed. You can find them in old stories of the Norse gods and in works such as Wagner's Ring Cycle operas.

Paul really gets heated about the subject in Galatians, where he says that those who were pushing circumcision in the early church should go the the whole way and emasculate themselves.

The New Testament is really clear that circumcision should no longer be practiced. it's a plot point in the book of Acts, with the Council of Jerusalem reaching a unanimous decision condemning it. Then Paul speaks against it in several of his epistles.

What about that friar, Gregor Mendel who founded the modern science of genetics? What a moron! Why bother learning why different strains of peas pass on different traits, when you could just eat them?!

So why did he work so hard to convince C.S. Lewis that Christianity was true? As a practical joke?

All you need is 1/1024th, just ask Elizabeth Warren.

Too many women don't get that they can't drink as much as men and be okay. There are biological factors that go into this, besides the obvious difference in size.

Iirc, George Lucas did that with the first Star Wars movie, when the studio heads thought that Stars Wars merch wouldn't sell.

In the United States, finishing your medical degree give you the title of MD, ie Medicine Doctor, or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic medicine).

In laymen's speech, "doctor," as a noun, usually means a medical doctor here.

The problem is that hospitals operate with a de facto monopoly in 35 states. In order to get permission to build a new hospital, you need to apply for a "Certificate of Need," certifying that there is a need for a new hospital in the community.

With rules like this, it's no wonder that American healthcare is so expensive. The free market is simply not allowed to operate in healthcare.

Handwashing, the other major measure, also doesn't do much to stop the flu either. (It helps stop stomach bugs, though.)

They only go in the entrance to your nostrils. The PCR tests have to go way up into your sinuses.

Technically, the CDC announced this back in July when they said that they would stop pursuing an EUA at the end of the year. Frankly, rapid antigen tests are superior in every way. They're more accurate, faster, and less invasive. People have really only been using PCR tests out of ignorance at this point.

Rapid antigen tests are still a thing. They're faster, more accurate, and just involve swabbing the inside of the nostrils instead of the sinuses. Home tests and the ones that you get at a clinic are the same. (My dad saw the box when he went in for a test.)
