sure lets say their precious monkey was nobunagas warrior... tell me what exactly did nobunaga do? what kind of tactics did he employ? what happened at Enryaku-ji temple? was that the kind of thing mr monkey excelled at??
on IBM? you dont have to buy a boomer perspective, just read a bit about their history. they did great things and they did great things before boomers were even born.
its like ford... some boomer tells you to buy american and you roll your eyes knowing fords are built in mexico BUT beyond the boomers stupid perspective, nostalgia and decades of memes/jokes... ford was great and like ibm exemplified american exceptionalism. does it mean shit for that company today (or even 30 years ago)? no. does it mean you should throw away your pride in knowing your people created those businesses/technologies that changed the world? also no.
they certainly did. I worked with some older guys that worked at IBM back in the good old days and they left a very lasting impression on me as well as a respect for what IBM used to be about... still got a THINK placard on my desk from one of them.
ill absolutely concede that.. i just pulled some years out my ass but yeah i enjoyed a good many games prior to win98... of course im probably a bit younger than you so they were more a long the lines of Hercules and Casper interactive adventure
98-04 golden age of pc games... so many favorites but one that i especially enjoy from then is Septerra Core a western jrpg with full voice acting and very strange combat mechanics. it often came in a double pack with Shogo which is another great game from that time.. a fps with giant mech action
fallout tactics minimum specs are a fuckin 266mhz pentium 2
