Hate crimes are just a tool to try and "prove" the narrative that racism is a major/growing problem. Case in point for the US, where black people kidnapped a man and tortured him live on facebook. All because they believed he voted for Trump. That wasn't going to be recorded as a hate crime originally, until there was backlash towards the decision.Even then, it ended up being recorded because they say the guy was targeted for being mentally retarded, not because he was white.
I found this because of this article https://reclaimthenet.org/mozilla-turns-its-attention-to-censoring-decentralized-tech/
Archive Link: https://archive.vn/iLrRQ
Long story short, "researcher" from Mozilla is stating that white supremacists are turning to decentralized platforms and becoming more radicalized. Because these platforms don't discourage the discussion of those ideas.
Funny enough, I know that this was a talking about against censorship is that it only drives those ideas into the dark to become more radicalized instead of "sanitizing" them to the light of free discussion.
My own thoughts on this. First, screw Mozilla that are a husk of their former selves. I would hope that attacking something like this would take away a chunk of their base because of said base's beliefs, but somehow I doubt that.
Secondly, even if "white supremacists" are flocking to these decentralized places. I'd say that's a good thing because it means those places are preserving free speech. And for me personally, I don't care about what type of people go to these "dark" places. I already have to deal enough with the mainstream platforms accepting literally communists. Because that offends me more considering what my family's been through.
I know that we mention it to point out leftist hypocrisy. At least I hope that's the case. But it's really stupid that to try and get people to realize other views is to put up a minority that believe in said view. Anyone that only listens because of the color of someone's kind is a retard.
For example, the guy who's pro-cop apparently was one for 20 years. Does that mean he's biased? Or perhaps he might understand that slashing the budget helps no one, which I believe to be the case.
Just to comment on why this occurred in the first place. I'm not so sorry to liberals for what about I'm going to say, but no, working on mental health is not going to help the crime situation. Especially not at the cost of 20 million away from the police budget. It's an excuse. Something that is over diagnosed, not even by doctors at that, to similar tunes as to why we have an opioid epidemic in the US.
Does anyone really think dementia addled sexual predator Joe Biden would get millions more votes than the smooth talking criminal that the left worshipped; Barack Obama?
Even with population growth, the turnout for this currently election is so absurd to the point that it's probably not possible without fraud. Though they'll probably point to their insane efforts of telling people to vote.
And in regards to Obama. I find it laughable when people tell me that Trump is rude at speeches. Obama took the time to lecture us on racist police brutality at a funeral for 6-7 police officers who were killed by a black man. Even saying something to the tune of "we don't know his motivations".
I get a little torn about things like this. On one hand, I really don't care to stoop to their level, Especially since people will be quick to call me a hypocrite for doing so given my beliefs.
On the other, I already get treated as being to divisive by neutrals. So what is there really to lose?
But whatever, I'm probably better off ranting about "our" movement, which I have a lot to say about shit from over the years.
Asians are very collectivists. If we're talking in Asia, then it'll be among national lines. i.e. Chinese with Chinese, Japanese with Japanese etc.
For Asian-Americans, particularly the ones that are born here rather than immigrated. It'll be more generalized to just asian. Probably because of the SJW influence of trying to get all nonwhites together.
Thanks to that, it's also why I say to not overstate the idea of asian's being based because of the culture. It's with the parents usually, and while the kids take the concept of that hard work. They very much so fail to take in why their families moved to the US in the first place. Probably because it's taken for granted as a result of living here.
I refresh the page and now they got the "warning" label on it now.
This should've been over last night, and it's insane that it'll probably take days if not weeks to sort everything up. I don't know what would it would take to convince anyone still neutral (Whether an act or for real) what's going on here. The idea of this country being heavily divided is considerably misunderstood.
I suppose "acting" wasn't the best word to describe what I meant. It's more about people who actually ARE neutral. I generally believe they have some really shitty arguments that nearly no one calls them out on because they're not taking a "side".
Pretty much never will see apolitical creators on any mass scale using these alternative platforms. Even with all the bitching about how crappy YouTube is as a platform. People still continue to use it without bothering to find out about alternatives.
The site's gone more downhill over the past decade and no amount of useless whining from creators will fix that.
Victim blaming has been one of the worst phrases that the left has decided is a real concept.
It's probably funny to some people here, since I learned this concept in college of all places. But the idea of co-creating outcomes is one of the biggest red pills I've ever had in my life, and I wish more people understood it. Abusive relationships, rape, getting robbed, etc. While it's unfortunate for those that are victims of them. They usually could've have done something to prevent it, fix it, get out of it.
That might sound harsh, but unless it's literally impossible to avoid. People need to be responsible for the situations they find themselves in. Or that they need to learn on how to keep it from happening again. Not be enabled or told that they did nothing wrong by their friends who don't want to hurt their feelings.
The amount of so-called/self-proclaimed "liberals" that don't understand freedom of speech or freedom of expression astounds me. It probably shouldn't since so many other freedoms are lacking in this modern era. i.e. arms, privacy, due process. Because rights for specific groups are apparently more important than allowing rights for everyone.
These days, if I hear someone refer to someone else as "unproblematic". I take it to mean that their either very PC, or state the standard liberal talking points.
I was just watching some Diesel Patches videos, when I saw the one with NigaHiga, which technically is more about Lily Singh. But the point I'm making is about the comments on it with people talking about how NH is unproblematic. Funny, considering the content that Patches makes and the jokes he makes aren't really PC, so I don't know why so many viewers were like that.
Also to add, I didn't care to watch NH's corona video because I really don't care about "hate crimes". And people can go and tell me that "it's about racists, not all white people" and I still wouldn't care. It just goes to show me that centrists are still leftists but less extreme.
But while I would say that I haven't watched any of his vids since then. It wouldn't really mean a thing since he hasn't posted since that one. Sorry, I went off on a bit of a tangent because I did/do enjoy a lot of his work over the years.
I disagree in the sense that most of these words aren't something I'd commonly say in normal day-to-day talk. The only exception being "toxic" when I refer to community if it makes the thing they supposed fans of worse because of them. People don't think of it that way, but I believe too many rush to asking for nerfs and buffs which causes a toxic mindset i.e. that it's not one's fault that they lose.
The image of all the words they used is pretty funny when you think how much it's permeating across the internet. Just that when I hear someone say that phrase, or write it down on a forum. You already know the kind of person they are. It's something that I saw on EFAP said by Rags about the bigot sandwich scene from TLOU 2. That being that he knew exactly the type of person who wrote that, which I guess isn't that hard to do considering the game as a whole.
Anime in the west is going to be cucked for the future (And kind of has been for years now). I'm glad I'm more of a manga guy myself, but even that doesn't seem to be safe.
For starters, there are a lot of people that take the leftist perspective on themes of some stories. Not major, but the sort of stuff that I saw was bubbling over during the early 2010s and late 2000s.
And second, while it was one controversy, people got butthurt over a character in some villainess manga who was afflicted with a curse and had dark skin. Spoilers, but I think you can see where this is going. The girl gets cured and her skins turns white and people got mad that it was whitewashing. And while you might think it was just some westerners getting mad over something. That manga actually had a revised version in Japan that kept her skin the same. So I do have my concerns that the tide is turning in Japan.
On the bright side, people have already archived the ToA list. Though that's been done since the thing was first made.
I don't know about all the old articles, but this is the reason why anytime I posted anything on the subreddits I used the archive link as the main post. This wasn't what I had in mind, but given the attention it garnered. I'm not surprised it eventually fell.
The Terms of Service will be heavily revised and updated, prohibiting any kind of hate speech and pornographic content left by guests and members of our community.
RIP indeed. Shame that he sold it to people that are the exact opposite for the readership of the place. The only consolation is the Voat subverse, which isn't all that active.
And given the reception from the other thread that talked about the site dying a couple months ago. I'll add this.
I'd rather have his so-called "right-wing moral busybody", then the supposed "apolitical" sites (That still bring it up anyway) with their benign discussion that bring nearly nothing to the table.
I don't know about this person specifically, but I kind of enjoy the critical analysis deal of my favorite stuff. In fact, I usually hear that sort of thing whenever people hate on the "EFAP" guys for being too hard on modern movies/games.
Of course, there's a difference between looking at components of something and understanding why it's good or bad, liked or disliked, etc. Versus someone just pushing the themes of a story as if it's an inherently good lesson to learn, like the SJW/Leftist stuff.
They can do annoying crap like this, but I can't insult them for it?
Seriously, the so-called "LGBT" whatever else they decide to add onto the back of it acts like insufferable twats. But if I ever talk about this in any mainstream capacity I'm the bad guy.
There's almost never any evidence provided about "calls for violence". It's pretty much the same protocol whenever someone claims to have received "death threats" on the internet. They never show them and people still believe them somehow.
